"Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up! Sasha! Arghh! I'm going to be late!

"YOU are going to be late?"

"WE! Happy? We are going to be late. Better?"

"Better, brighter, bigger, better!"

"Better, butter, we're going to be late"

"I am ready!"

"Good. Take your luggage and off we go"

"Wait. Sorry, my what?"

"No, you didn't!"

"You never said I needed one. I thought I'll borrow something from you. I'll be staying just a day"

"I said it's just for a day, right?"

"Yes"

"I thought so. Yeah. You'll be borrowing something from me. Come on, the taxi is here."

When we arrived at the airport, I felt sick. I couldn't believe I was about to do this. Was I ready? No. but I was excited about it and that was all that I needed then. Suddenly, gravity hit me. No, literally. Elizabeth was so eager to get off the taxi that she almost pushed me to the ground.

"Ah! Sorry. Geez, we were in a taxi or in a tobacco factory? Nevermind. I am so excited. It will be amazing. Just wait until you'll meet everyone. My brother will be so happy to see you again."

"You have two brothers"

"Really? Oh, yeah. My other brother's opinion is not that important"

"It's so nice of you to say that"

"I am a good sister, what can I say?"

"That you are not"

"Rubbish. Sashenka, do not make me mad. But really, my younger brother is mostly absent. He has his own group of people around him and his own private stuff. He built those stupid walls around him, you know? And it's hard to get in. I only manage to when he opens the door. I try, you know I do. But there are some subjects we never speak about. I don't know much about him anymore. I feel like I don't know half the person he grew up to be. And that makes me feel like a bad sister. Am I a bad sister?"

"No, of course not. People are entitled to their own private life. And if he chooses not to share things with you, it does not make you bad. But at the end of the day, people are just people. You have to let him be, you are already doing your best"

"And it's not enough."

"But it's noticeable. And it's not your fault. You are smart enough to know that."

"I know. But I can't help but feel bad. We have to go. I am so happy that you are here!"

I loved Lizzie with all my heart. We only met one year ago, but she became the sister I never had and that I never knew I could have. I remember bumping into her on my way to a class, during college, and spilling her coffee all over the floor. Some of it ended up on me and she apologized even though I was the careless one. Since that day we became friends, and here we are now, one year later, traveling to her house situated in the rainy London. Who would've thought?

"I am happy too, let's go."
