I answer the door to see Alex standing in the door way.
"Hey" He hugs me and I do the same.
"Where's your date?" I was starting to wonder what was going on.
"I'm looking at her." I blushed at the thought of me and Alex going out.
"What do you mean?"
"Remember the "friend" I set you up with?"
"Yeah."
"I was asking you out for me." I could see that his face was flushed.
"That girl I was talking about is you." Alex wraps his arms around me and I felt the need to cry.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I look up at him. He pulls away.
"I was afraid of being rejected by the girl I am deeply in love with." He holds me once again.
"Are you two going to be okay?" My mom seemed happy with the thought that Alex and I were going to be together.
"Yes. I will be."
"So will I." Alex smiles and lets go of me and hugs my mom.
"She will be home by 10." I hear him tell her.
"Make it 11. You two need sometime together." He chuckles and walks back over to me.
"Shall we go." He holds his hand out towards me and I take it.
"Yes. We shall." I couldn't help but smile. I could tell that he was truly happy. He walked me outside and opens the passenger car door. I get in and he closes the door. The excitement I felt was unbearable. I just wanted to be next to him forever.
