Some people are dreadfully afraid and awfully scared when it comes to dealing with speaking on stage in front of a big crowd. Some don't have enough confidence to stand the strange audience. Some hesitate and some are totally nervous and often are shaking.

Xenophobia is what we call the fear of something foreign and something strange to him/her. It is often the fear of being on stage and facing a crowd. Stage fright. Lacking enough confidence. They can be conquered. Here are a few simple ways that I made up with the aid of some of my neighborhood buddies and relatives and acquaintances that I gathered up and molded into one simple lump of a thing. This was made up because someone asked me to. He was going to have a speech on stage and asked me for some effective ways on overcoming his fear on-stage... I hope this would seem useful. This is also for all of those who needed help in standing the feeling of being in front of strange people. Actually, I made this not because I am already a very confident person and can already stand a crowd without shaking or getting the nerves or whatever. It's not that. I just made this up because I wanted to... and because anyway I can also get benefit from this myself...

Here you go:

1. Bear a positive mind. Think positive thoughts and act positively. You must keep it in mind that it is not only you that's so oddly torn up when it comes to public speaking. There are also a few others out there who are dreadfully unused and completely new to it.

Imagine this: you are one of the crowds and someone is speaking right there in front of you. Of course being one of them you wouldn't want the one making the speech to mess up around! And that's what you are going to do then when you speak informatively in front of a listening audience. Think what the audience would feel if you mess up with things. You might not want to embarrass yourself with your exposed nervousness and anxiety, so get a hold of yourself.

2. Trust yourself. Believe in your own and cheer yourself that you can do it! After all you are going to say important things and they are of great use to the crowd and to you. When you are already facing the crowd, you have no other choice but to open your mouth and speak. That's the only thing about it.

3. Learn to accept your other side: your failures, your mistakes, your weaknesses, and your negativities. Doing so would brighten the situation and lighten yourself.

4. Aspire of becoming an effective public speaker, because doing so would encourage and inspire you of becoming one. It would drive you to determination and fondness. Of course if you don't want to be an effective speaker, you wouldn't bother learning to become on.

5. The only way to overcome your fears is to try not to turn away from them. Instead, face them with courage and firmness. In this way you would learn to rely and have confidence in yourself even with nobody else's help.

6. Practice, practice, rehearse, and rehearse. Try speaking first in front of a small crowd and then slowly and slowly, rise up to the bigger crowds.

I once had an experience on this. Know what I did? Well, I talked to myself in front of a freakin' mirror! I look like a moron that time, I know, but mind you, it is one of the millions of effective ways.

7. Bear in your mind that everyone in the crowd is completely normal; and that they are just friendly characters and aren't judgmental. Just go and be with them. Feel comfortable with them.

I remember a fifth grade teacher once told us everyone in the class, 'When you are speaking in front a big audience and you feel terribly scared and felt like running... just stay back, relax, and imagine they are carabaos...' It was effective enough, though.

8. Make yourself physically presentable. Produce beauty from the outside because that's what's always noticed at first glance. Then produce even more beauty for your inside. Speak with utter calmness and smoothness. In this way you will look and sound pleasing enough.

9. Gather for yourself more knowledge and ideas. Stuff your mind with so much useful information. They could be of great use some time.

10. Probably what it seemed like the most important for me in some special ways... is to have an apt sense of humor. When time seemed rough and you feel like the listeners are losing attention... crack up a joke! But do this only if you're utterly good at it. You have to choose in the first place a joke that wholly associates with your subject, and see to it that you won't emotionally hurt anyone in the crowd. I swear this is an incredibly effective way to drive up attention from the listeners.

11. Lastly... right before making your speech, ask for enough strength to our Sovereign Captain. Pray for yourself, for you to have enough strength and valiance to endure the crowd...

Does this help enough? Any suggestions? Opinions? Questions?

Thank you anyway for reading all this way through :)

It may seem so terribly odd and absolutely weirdto have written some effin' tutorial and advice when I have started up a simplestory on my own (The Bittersweet Tale ofAlbert Summers), but I did this anyway for some reason.
