Ruby's POV

As I risen from my sleep, I noticed Jade staring at the window in utter shock. "What is the matter Jade?" I asked curiously as I rubbed any sleep away from my eyes. "Oh, Ruby you must see who it is" Jade stated. I got up off the bed and walked towards the window and my emerald green eyes widen in shock. "Oh my...what business do they have here?" I rhetorically asked. "I must get dressed" I responded. Jade nodded in agreeable matter and walked out the room closing the bedroom door behind her. I quickly got dress into a beautiful green gown and then I brushed my hair, as I finished brushing my hair there was a knock on my door.

I walked towards the door and opened it to be met by Mr Darcy. Our eyes met, staring into one another, not one of us said a word nor breaking the silence. "Miss Ruby" Mr Darcy greeted as he bowed down in respect. "Mr Darcy" I responded with a curtsey. Silence flew upon us again. I walked to the side of the door. "Do please come in" I said motioning him to come in as he did. I could tell that he was nervous about something as he was playing around with his gloves. "Are you quite alright Mr Darcy?" I asked him. He looked at me for a while. "Yes I am Miss Ruby" He replied. Silence. I hated the silence so I decided to see what is wrong with him. "Mr Darcy I am quite aware that you are somewhat nervous, am I wrong?" I asked. Suddenly a knock on my bedroom door interrupted. "I am sorry to intrude Ruby and Mr Darcy but there is a slight problem outside" Jade apologised as she pointed at the window. I looked towards the window and gasped in horror. Mr Darcy noticed and he too looked outside. He walked out while pulling out his musket. I quickly grabbed my sword and followed Mr Darcy.

I slayed the zombie that was in front of me, there was about 20 of them. "Where are they coming from?" I heard Veronica asked. "Seems like they are coming from the forest" Jade replied while pointed at the forest. I quickly ran into the forest to slay the zombies that are coming out of it. "Miss Ruby!" I heard Mr Darcy shout my name but I did not turn around as I kept going towards the forest. There wasn't much zombies in front of our home so I am sure that Jade, Lara and Veronica would be alright. I sneaked up behind a zombie and swung my sword into it's head as the now lifeless zombie fell onto the ground. By now more 10 zombies came rushing up to me. "Now, fella's...is that how you want to play?" I rhetorically asked. They did not stop, they still came running to me. "Alrighty then, that's how we will play" I responded.

I pulled out my two daggers and threw them at two zombies heads, then I grabbed my sword and swung it around chopping the heads of the eight zombies that fell perfectly dead on the ground. "You can not beat me, I will slay your kind if it was the last thing I do!" I hissed to the dead zombies knowing that the zombies can not hear me. I walked over to the two zombies that I threw my dagger too and grabbed my two daggers wiping the zombie blood off my daggers and sword with my napkin. Suddenly I heard a noise from behind me, it was a zombie and it was too late for me to swing my sword to kill it. I closed my eyes waiting for the attack, I felt fear all throughout my body. Knowing that this is my last time to be alive scared me. I didn't want to leave just yet. I wanted to stay with my friends, with my family and certainly with Mr Darcy, I wanted to be alive but knowing I won't be alive today scares me. Suddenly I heard a gun shot. I opened my eyes as I saw the zombie that was so rather close to me ready to attack me, now on the ground...lifeless. I looked up to my saviour to see Mr Darcy pulling his gun back. "Mr Darcy" I said in shock.
