(Karkat's POV)
Your name is Karkat Vantus and this is your first day in this shitty school. Its isn't a very nice, big building like your old one. It is small and kinda older looking. You dad said that this was a very good school and has more choices with how you want to go down the road of success and blah, blah, blah. You honestly just want to get these four years over with and get out of it faster then lightning. You honestly don't care if it gets you a good education.
You don't know anybody as you walked into the front doors and head to the main office, if there was any kids there. Only a few were here and there. Most of them were coming into the other enterance on the otherside of the damn school. You grumbled as you walked up the the front desk. The lady there had dark, brown hair and a cheezy flower dress. She lazily looked up at you and asked for your name.
She sat and typed something on her computer. Damn, I wonder if I even can live this long. You thought as she took fucking F.O.R.E.V.E.R to get sometype of imformation. Finally, she looked up at you. "You are going to have to sit here a wait till Clarity comes and shows you to your first class."
You turned and sat in one of those chairs that reminded you of sitting in a doctors office. You really hate going to the doctors. You hate it with a passion. That is all you seem to feel these days. Since you moved here from the busy city of Manhatten. You feel passionate hatred for every little detail in this cursed state. Even the burning hot sun of the summer days, even though you have always liked the heat. You hate the damn wind, every fucking thing.
"Sorry, Mrs. Dingleberry. I had a little trouble on the way here. Is he here?" A girl walked in. She had blonde hair and was kinda short and skinny. She held a backpack that most likely weighed more then her. She then looked down at you and you almost jumped out of your seat. She had the most yellow eyes ever. It wasn't the sickly yellow that you have seen only once before in your goddamn life, they were a crazy honey yellow.
"Hi, are you Karkat Vantus?" She asked with a kind smile. You slowly nodded, she then focused on your eyes. A surprised look fell on her face, you remembered that you had crazy, blood colored eyes. You never really liked people staring at you just for that reason. Most people always avoided you just because they thought you were the devils son and all and called you Lucius. Which means something like, son of the devil or some crazy shit like that.
The longer she stared, the more unconftuable you felt. She didn't look scared or anything, she just looked at you like she was studying you. Almost like a wild animal would do but in a more tamed way. Like she was getting to know your features, which made you feel even more unconfturable. You quickly stand up. "OK, where the fuck is my first class?"
"Lemme see your schedual..." She reached for the piece of paper in your hand. Before you could say that you were fine and that you can read she had already opened the paper and was reading it. You glared at her as she read your schedual. "You have science and German with me. I know where all of the other classes are. Come on."
She handed the paper back and you followed her out of the office. She was just bairly shorter then you, yet her short legs made her almost impossibe to keep up with her if your weren't jogging. "Can you slow the fuck down?"
She looked back at your and smiled warily. "Sorry," She slowed down the pace and lead you to your first class. "I will meet you here after class."

(Clarity's POV)
You are now Clarity Schmitt. You are a very happy and gleeful girl on the outside, yet you are kinda dark and sad on the inside. Yet you don't let that get you down. You have very good grades and are in two honors classes, not that you are bragging or anything. It is kinda a loadfull on your first year of highschool. You can almost remember anything that you see or hear. Like when you looked at Karkat's schedual, you practicly know what classes he has next.
It is now lunchtime and you are looking for him. You are not going to let him get away that easily. Without you, he wouldn't get a lunch spot to sit in. There is like, a hundred more students then there are seats. Even if half of the upperclassmen left to go get lunch somewhere else, there still wouldn't be enough.
You put your jacket and lunchbox on two seats and went to go look for him. Even if there isn't enough seatsfor everybody, people wont take your spot if you save it. Unless it is your friends, then that is a different matter. They have the guts to make you stand while eating. You go to look for the red eyed boy that you have to watch over.
Not like that is a bad thing, you honestly like watching over people. It makes you feel safe, because other people are safe. You can never trust someone with you little baby brother unless you know what they are going to do next. Even though you only had to look at the red eyed boy you trusted him right away. Even though he seems a little grumpy, he seems very nice. He hasen't even mentioned your discusting, yellow eyes. Of course, you would bring up his red eyes. When you looked into his eyes at first, you seemed lost in them. You can see on the outside that he is not very happy, not even in the inside did he look at all happy.
You then see the red eyed boy, he was looking around. Looking like a lost puppy. You smile as that ran through your head. He really did. Pushing though the crowd to get to him, it didn't take long for him to see you. When he did, as quickly as he could, he pushed through the crowds of people standing around. You got frusterated when they did that. You get frusterated pretty easily, though you never show it. Except how your friend, Jess, observed that when you get frusterated at something your face gets hard. Though you try not to show it, it still shows.
When you two got close enough to even communicate, you told him: "Follow me. I saved a spot for you." You turned and pushed your way though crowd again. You would check ever five seconds to see if he was still following you. Though he was, you just felt like you had to. He was now under your watch. After when felt like half of the lunch period, you got to your spots. Your friends Jess and Wolfiy were there. Jess stole the spot with the jacket, leaving the luchbox spot open.
"Seriously?" You question as you snagged the jacked from the seat next to the lunch box. Jess just shrugged her shoulders. Karkat walked up. He tightly held a lunchbox in his right hand and gripped his backpack strap with his other. A nervous look stretched across his face. "You can sit here. I will stand and eat." You say. He just nodded and sat your lunchbox on the table and put his down.
"So, Clarity." Wolfiy said with a malicious smile. "Since when have you had a little puppy following you?" She placed her head on her hands and looked up at you with sparkling eyes.
"Excuse me. I am listening." Karkat butt in. She looked over at him.
"Do I have to wait till you leave?" A fake serious face crossed her face. She then paused, looking deep into his eyes. You stood until you remembered why she was looking into his eyes like that. When you remembered, you started to feel jealous, so you poked her in the arm, breaking her stare, and said, "He is no lost puppy. He is just a new kid that I have to show around the school. Just for today... Maybe..."
You quietly added the last part. No one seemed to notice. Wolfiy nodded and went back to eating. You got to your knees and opened the lunchbox, you take out a piece of leftover pizza. You then feel the red eyes stare down at you, then Karkat leaning down to where he can talk only to you. "You can sit up here."
"Nome, I am fine here." You say back to him as you take a bite. He leaned back into his chair and continued eating. You ate down on the floor, in a way tucked under the table to stay out of passing peoples way. It wasn't the first time you ate like this, at one point all three of you had to sit on the floor, it was near a wall though. It was kinda weird eating like that, though. You lowered your head and slowly took a bite of your day old pizza. At lease like this you can rest a little, try to not force your head up all the time. It gets tiring after awhile. No one you know will see you. You are fine.
Come on, Clarity. Lift up your head.
You sigh. I will try.
OK, so this is my second fanfic I wrote about Homestuck, I hope you like it. If so then I will continue it... If not then I could use some ideas for other things I can write about... :P
