Karkat's POV:
Lunch didn't even last that long, thank God. Those girls at the table were really loud and annoying. Not that you aren't not loud as well, other people aren't allowed to be loud like you are. Now you're following this weirdo girl named Clarity back to a class, what was that class again? Oh yeah... science... You wonder what the point of science is, it isn't some actual knowledge that one can use everyday, maybe the basics of few things but Earth science had no point to it unless you were wanting to go out and dig some rocks up. Otherwise, you knew that you were going to fail this class without a second thought.
Clarity looked back at you, smiling gracefully and taking your hand. "C'mon slow poke you're going to make us late to class." With hat she started dragging you quickly to the room before the bell rang. You growled and tried to pull your hand back.
"What the fuck! I am not a child let go of my hand!" She never let go of your hand and you were stuck with her dragging your around places. You growl again and huffed. Finally, after what took forever she finally pulled you into a classroom. It was a typical classroom with tile floors and that two person desk that every fucking high school has, which was so middle school. Clarity lead you up to the teacher.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Shorey." She said happily. "I brought you a new student."
This Mrs. Shorey looked up from her computer. "Yes, thank you Clarity. Would you show him to the spot next to Sollux, please?"
Clarity nodded. "Yes, I will." Before you could react you were being dragged again to a seat. "Here is where you will sit." She say kindly.
"Sure, thanks..." You sat down and set your back pack down. The seat was empty next to you so you thought that maybe this Sollux has missed school for the day. Then you were proven wrong when someone took the seat next to you just as the bell rang. You glanced at him from the side before looking to find Clarity, she was sitting on the otherside of the room. For the first time you actually wanted her here.
"Excuse me? Are you that new student that everyone is talking about?" A lisping voice said in your ear. You jump and turn around, the face of this Sollux scared you even more than his lisp in your ear. It was mostly because of the red and blue 3D glasses he wore and that gravity defying, messy hair that looked as if he couldn't keep in down for the life of him.
"What the fuck are you suppose to be? It isn't Halloween so take the damn glasses off. Don't you get into trouble for that shit?!"
Sollux just laughed, taking out his binder.
"Nice to meet you too. And I need to wear these glasses to even see. So no judging." At the last part his face became more serious that before, making you a bit worried.
"I wasn't judging, I was just making a statement." You cross your arms and look forward at the board, avoiding any weird eye contact with him.
"And that statement wasn't a very nice one. Get your binder out and do the warm up." Sollux had started writing something down and was answering it.
"It was a fucking joke, get over it. And I don't even know where the goddamn warm up is." You say stubbornly.
"On the it's board over there. God do you need glasses?" You turn on him angrily.
"The fuck did you just say?!"
The weird boy just smirked at your anger. "You heard me."
"Sollux! Karkat! Do I need to send you two to the principal's?"
"No ma'am." Sollux instantly replied. You just blushes and did the bell ringer without another word. It wasn't that hard, you just copied down what was on the board. Pathetic. You thought this school would be better.
Most of the class period you stared out the window at the unfamiliar view of the mountains. You were used to the tall city buildings. It honestly weirded you out, almost uncomfortable. When the bell finally rang you quickly got up and cleaned off your desk into your backpack. Clarity walks up to you.
"Hey, in a hurry already?" She smiles, watching you hitch you backpack on your back.
"I am so done with this day. Of course I am hurrying." You growl a bit and walk out the door. Clarity slowly followed you, lagging behind. You already got the jist of this school and where everything is so you really didn't need her anymore. You sigh and walk into your next class, quickly taking a glance around before walking up to the teacher for help.
Clarity's POV:
Before you could even follow him he was gone. You lost him in the crowd just up ahead. You frown and sigh. 'Maybe he doesn't need me anymore...'
Slowly, you walk into class just as the bell rang. Karkat wasn't in this class with you, which made you a bit sadder. You had no one in this class.
((Sorry that this was such a rushed and crappy chapter. I kinda lost the feel of the story but I will hopefully get it back soon. Enjoy.))
