Chapter 2. The Day

Shinji was slowly walking out of his school. He looked annoyed and was kicking into everything he could find on the ground.

He walked pass the corner of his school's street and looked into his pockets :

"Geez, I thought I had a few coins for ice cr-"

Suddenly, everything became dark, only for a second.

He quickly looked at the sky but everything seemed normal :

"What the hell was that.." he thought.

He quickly stopped thinking about it and found in his bag, a few coins.

He walked to the ice cream store in Kamigure's most famous street : Rougieres Road.

He grabbed an ice cream and slowly walked to his apartment when all of a sudden, he heard footsteps on the rooftop of a small house he was walking by. For a second he thought he had seen a woman running on the roof.

This had been 2 times something not normal had happened so he decided to keep licking his ice cream, without moving from his initial spot.

He observed..

For a few seconds, only, before being surprised by what looked like a comet falling down the sky.

Shinji started walking toward the location and at the same time was overflowed with different thoughts :

"What is this? Is it linked to the woman I saw ? Is it linked to the sky turning bla-"

And the comet had vanished into a light beam falling toward the ground and an incredible speed.

Without thinking, Shinji started running.

He threw his bag away, and ran as fast as he could, he ran so fast that his ice cream was blown away by the wind.

He opened his gakuran's lower buttons and started making big steps.

"Why am I running toward it?" he asked himself, before slowing down :

"I'm simply curious.. right? I'm not feeling attracted.. right??!"

At that moment, the young Shinji was overflowed by many feeling. 

What is that thing? Is it a normal phenomenon he had never heard of before ? Without really knowing why, he was attracted to it. It was calling for him.. 

Shinji took the corner of the street and kept looking at the horizon and the light beam:

"It's going to land in the forest.." he thought, while licking the ice cream on his thumb.

Suddenly, a burst of air blasted him a few meters away.

In front of him, was standing a blonde woman, wearing a cat mask and different weapons on her back :

"What the-" he slowly stood and got interrupted by her .

"Why are you here?"

"Who are you?" he asked

"Huh?"

Shinji could easily notice that under her mask, she had made a surprised face.

She grabbed her scythe and started spinning it, slowly rising in the sky like an helicopter :

"Kid, if you plan on going to that location, forget about it, you'll end up getting hurt."

And in an air dash, she flew toward the light beam's location :

"Tch."

Shinji followed her, he was even more curious.

As he approached the location, he noticed that the light beam had now vanished.

His heart, was beating louder and louder, faster and faster.

He slowly reached the forest.

CLANK.

In front of him, a sword clashed with a scythe, around 10 meters away.

Someone under a cloak was fighting with the Neko girl from earlier :

"Go help her!!" She yelled.

"MH?!"

"GO HELP THE GIRL OVER THERE AND GET HER OUT OF HERE!"

Shinji looked to his right. There was a girl on the floor, she was covered in bruises and her clothing was burnt at some parts. It looked like she was fighting right before collapsing.

Shinji picked her up and ran out of the forest with her on his back.

His heart was beating really fast now. Inside him, he sensed a warm feeling.

Behind him, he heard footsteps and turned his head around.

One of the cloaked figures was following him and had drawn out a sword.

The blade as bright yellow and was separating the ground as the figure ran toward him.

"What do i do, what do i do, what do I do?!!"

Instinctively, as soon as he knew that the person was close enough, he jumped and turned around :

"GO, TO, HEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLL!!!!!" he yelled,

stomping his foot into the figure's face.

He crashed them into the ground and landed around 10 meters away, sliding on the ground to stop himself and holding the girl on his back.

With his hand on the ground, he noticed a golden dust surrounding his fist :

"What the hell is that..?" He thought.

The figure on the ground slowly stood up, holding their face :

"Master.. things got complicated here.. 2 Harumichi showed up... yes... Understood."

And in the blink of an eye, the person dashed back to the forest, leaving Shinji speechless and confused :

"What the hell is happening.. and who's this girl..?" he asked himself as he slowly turned around and started running back to the city.
