"Mia?" Asked a 5 year old Calum Hood. "Yes Cal?" "Do you like stars?"
"Yeah astronomy pretty cool" He looked confused for a sec but then he realised, "That's stars and stuff right?" 4 year old me smiled and said "yeah, stars and stuff"
I stare at my empty room thinking back to that moment. That was 13 years ago and it was still my favourite memory of me and Calum together.
The moving men came in to tell me the van was ready to leave. I nodded my head and said I needed another minute to myself. I sighed looking at the bare walls that once held memories of my family and pictured of me and Cal.
It's been a long 2 years since he left but I swear it only felt like yesterday.
There was a knock at my door and my 16 y/o self groaned walking to the door and opening it to a very excited Calum at 9 am on a Saturday.
"What the hell Calum? it's too early for this crap!" "You won't believe what just happened" he said as he invited himself in.
"What's up?" "One Direction invited us on tour!!! Can you believe it?" "Of course I can you guys are amazing!" I squealed and hugged Calum. On the outside I was so happy for him but secretly I didn't want my only friend to leave.
I hadn't seen Calum after that day, he left the next day apparently without even a goodbye. I was glad for that though I was worried I would've told him to stay if we had to say goodbye.
I wiped the few tears that were running down my face and closed the door to my bedroom walking out of my house.
I got into my car and headed to my new home in California...
