Silence was key. And surprise. Just sneak in, catch them all by surprise. Nothing bad will come of this.

I crept along the rooftop, keeping my eyes fixed on two figures in the distance. They both had their backs to me, but if they happened to turn round, they probably wouldn't see me. I was dressed all in black, a black beanie hat covering my short brown hair and a black scarf covering my lower half of my face. Usually, I'd wear something over my eyes too to make sure nobody would recognise me, but today I didn't want to risk losing any visibility.

I settled down at the edge of the rooftop, crouching down to watch the two figures out on the docks. I took out a pair of binoculars and watched the two of them through the lenses.

One was a tall, stocky Russian and the other a shorter and cheerier looking Englishman. The Russian was a bodyguard, and pretty much fit the stereotype. He was bald and ugly looking, wearing a black suit and looking around him tensely. The Englishman was far more relaxed-looking. His shoulders were slumped and he was chatting away cheerfully to his comrade. He was wearing a hooded jumper and expensive jeans. He wasn't too much older than me, perhaps twenty three or twenty four, with raven hair. He was about five foot eight, just shorter than average and his face would suggest he was the sort of person to sell you something that you don't want or need.

You wouldn't think it, but he was one of the biggest crime lords in the world, and head of a terrorist organisation that was bringing the country to its knees.

Terrorism is always associated with religious radicals, but this man wasn't even close to that. He just wanted a change in government policies. In fact, looking at him I got the impression he was an atheist. The way he held himself and stood at ease in the situation was that of someone who thought himself above any God or higher entity.

No, if anyone was his God, it was him.

I had spent a year and a half tracking this man down. He was now standing not too far from me, vastly unprotected, waiting to make a deal.

I was about to pull out my gun, but then something happened down on the docks. A small sailboat arrived, and five people got out. Now, I didn't like the look of those odds. It seemed as though the Englishman and Russian were having some sort of standoff with those at the docks.

One of the men got off the sailboat, carrying a briefcase. He walked up to the other two men, completely at ease, and opened up the briefcase. The Englishman leaned forward, examining the contents with a greedy smile, all his teeth showing like a strip of barbed wire lining a fence. He said something to the man holding the briefcase, who nodded.

I couldn't see from this angle what was inside, but I could guess it was nothing good.

I decided I would wait until they'd finished the deal and then attack. It seemed as though the two of them were friendly with the men on the sailboat. If I attacked them now, it would be a seven on one. Even picking them off from a distance, I didn't like the look of those odds.

I waited patiently as the deal continued to go down. The Englishman had words with the Russian, who then followed the man from the sailboat on board. The Englishman seemed completely at ease waiting for the others to return. I frowned slightly. I hadn't thought that he'd leave himself so completely unprotected while his bodyguard discussed the price for whatever they were receiving shipment of.

As that thought ran through my mind, I felt something hit me in the back of the head at the same time as two hands grabbed either of my arms.

I struggled immediately, kicking out as I was dragged to my feet. However, a seventeen year old girl isn't much opposition to three burly thugs. The two holding my arms turned me around to see the other, who pulled off the hat and scarf to see my face.
