The Finality.

18 2 1

ominous and dark,
the skies are moving in,
this is the last chapter,
the finale of it all.
there's nothing left
but the age-old battle,
to finally be decided.
the matters of importance
dealt with;
we turn to the life or death
challenge.

been there, done that,
if only there was more time?
time to feel, time to see,
time to live and experience;
time to be.
alas, not possible,
we've ran out and thats all
there is to know,
we can't fight this, stop this
just let the water break the dam,
and flood the land,
waterlogged and drowned.

so now you've accepted fate,
lets move on,
to the main event;
trumpets blaring,
flags waving,
drums and whistles,
spears and guns,
now pause for effect,
build up to the begining.
every breath held,
every heart racing,

now is the time to shed your tears,
to grieve the losses that got us so far,
the sacrifices, the maytrs,
all for this.
so now dry your eyes,
the stage awaits.
a bold voice announces the title,
all ears listen,
the fake parade begins,
all eyes stare,
tension tightens.

all focus on a single point,
a lone figure,
a dot from up here in the stands,
but if you could look closer,
a person stands afraid.
now look again,
a second joins
can you make them out?
way up here we are the watchers,
the viewers, fans, critics,
and judges.

this world has reached,
it's pinnacle point,
the reason for this story,
it's scary, to think
it'll soon be over.
for what comes next?
does it end?
or do we continue uknown?
but don't think like that now,
the battle is starting now,
the end has begun.
