Help me. Please.

It was a cold night outside, and the rain didn't help at all. Two men, one tall with dark curly hair and the other shorter with blonde hair, were walking outside, soaked to the bone. They were working on a case, and were trying to find the hostage before the person is killed.

I'm begging you. Please help me.

"Sherlock! John!" Another man called out to them, running towards them, trying not to slip. The two men turn towards him.
"Yes Lestrade?" The tall man asks the said guy.
"We found her," Lestrade panted. The tall man turns to his companion with a smile.
"Where? John and I will find her," He asks.
"In an old shack in the middle of nowhere. Let me get you directions," Lestrade said, straightening his posture and digging through his pockets for a piece of paper. Once it is found, he pulls it out and hands it to the taller man.
"Let's go John. We need to hurry," The man said, turning to his smaller friend, John, and motioning him to follow. John nods, and with a thankful smile to Lestrade, follows his tall companion, also known as Sherlock Holmes.

Hurry.

The men find a cab and give the driver the directions and tells him to hurry. Within a few minutes, they are out in the country and are keeping an eye out for the run down shack. Soon, a small, run down shack came into view. The driver pulled up to it, stopped, and allowed Sherlock and John get out. They told him to wait, for they will need him soon. The driver nods and turns off the ignition. The two men walk cautiously up to the shack and slowly open the door, guns drawn.

Almost. Please hurry. Help!

A scream erupts from another room in the shack. It sounds terrified. They hurry quietly over to the door that leads to the room. They hear laughing and whimpers. The laughing is deep and maniacal. The whimpers grew softer as the laughter grows louder.

Get me away from this pain.

They two companions burst into the room. A terrified shriek erupted from the girl that was sitting in the corner, tied to a chair. The laughing stops as a gunshot rings out and he falls to the floor. Blood pools out of his forehead onto the floor around him. John puts his gun away and makes his way cautiously towards the petrified girl. She had brown hair that would have been in beautiful curls, but it was matted and tinted red from her blood. Her piercing green eyes were full of terror. Her bottom lip was cut and bleeding. She had a black eye and a red handprint on her left cheek. Her clothes were torn and blood stained them in some areas. Her eyes dart Beck and forth between the two, and flinched when John reaches out to untie the ropes that bound her to the chair.

You saved me, but can never fix me. Thank you though.

Her wrists were rubbed raw, as well as her ankles. She rubs her wrists as she watches John untie her ankles from the rickety old chair that she sat upon.
"Thank you," she whispered. John looked up at her and smiled a kind smile.
"You're welcome. Are you alright?" the girl nodded. "Good. Can you stand? Or do you need help?" John asked kindly. The girl stood up, stumbling. John caught her before she fell and put her right arm over his shoulders, wrapping his left arm around her waist. They made their way over to Sherlock, who was waiting by the door.

Thank you, but I will always have scars that won't ever heal.

They made their way to the cabin that was waiting. Sherlock opened the door, letting the girl get in first, then John, then himself. After closing the door, he told the driver to take them to the hospital as fast as they can. The driver nodded before pulling out onto the street and speeding down the empty road. The girl rested her head against the cool window, her brown hair falling in front of her green eyes. She felt light headed, and fought to stay conscious. John noticed this handed her a water bottle. She took it gratefully and took a long sip of the nice, clean water. She didn't feel as light headed, so she finished drinking the rest of the water and handed John the empty bottle.

I will forever be in your dept.

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?" John asked politely. The girl looked at him for a moment.
"Victoria," she answered, looking out the window. John smiled. Within a few more minutes of silence, they arrived at the hospital. Sherlock got out, followed by John. Victoria was about to follow when her eyes rolled up into her head and she collapsed. John pulled her out of the cab and carried her bridal style. They rushed up to the hospital and had her taken to the ER.

But I think it's too late, now.

The two waited in the waiting room, hoping that it wasn't too late. After ten minutes of waiting, a doctor came in.
"Visitors for Victoria Wilshire?" she asked. The two stand up and walk over to her.
"Is she alright?" John asked. The nurse gave a sorry look.
"I'm sorry. She flat lined when we started to put water into her system. She died of starvation and dehydration. She also lost a lot of blood. I'm sorry," The doctor informed. John's hopeful face fell. They found her, but they were too late. Right before the doctor turned to leave, another doctor rushed in, an amazed and bewildered look on his face.
"She's alive. Her heartbeat was just slow, so slow that the machine couldn't find it. She's alright. We are putting water in her system right now. You can come see her if you want," The man said. The two nodded, relieved.

Thank you for all of your help.

The two men entered the room, seeing the girl lying on the hospital bed. She looked pale and sickly, but they knew she was fine. She opened her eyes and watched the two settle their selves next to her bed. She smiled softly.
"Thank you. For... everything," she whispered. John smiled at her. The girl let out a sigh, feeling darkness pull her towards death. She didn't have much time.
"Your safe," Sherlock said, patting her head carefully. "im sorry we did the get to you sooner," he said. She smiled a reassuring smile and closed her eyes, letting out a final breath before her heart stopped. Doctors rushed in, trying to revive her, but failed.

Thank you for saving me. Goodbye John and Sherlock.
