Sleeping Ninjas: Chapter 3

Artemis slowly uncapped a black sharpie. She got onto the other side of the sofa and got onto her knees. Her breath hitched as Robin shifted. She gripped the marker in her right hand, slowly bringing it down towards his face.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Present

Wally knew chaos, and he knew when it was going to happen. He had made the same mistake a couple of months ago.

He shuddered.

He was scared.

He was really scared.

OH WHAT WAS HE SAYING, HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE!

He could only remember too well the story. Robin had him pinned up against the wall with 12 batarangs counting down till detonation! Why would you even sleep with exploding batrangs, Wally didn't know, but it probably had to do with the fact that the bat was his mentor.

Wally had zeta beamed to the Watch Tower where he knew most of the league were. He raced down the corridors. To others, he was a red and yellow blur and a gust of wind. He forked to the left and continued running. One of the last doors to the right was slightly cracked, but that was enough for Kid Flash.

"Batsy......."

Sometimes Batman could only wonder who was more annoying, Flash or his nephew? Right now, well, it was definitley Flash. Flash was complaining, his head on the table. Why couldn't he act like a man for once and not a child?

"Ugh... Yes Flash?"

Batman didn't even try to hide his frustration and annoyance in his voice. And he wasn't the only one. Most of the leaguers were here, (Batman, Flash, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Superman), and none of them wanted to be here. Even Batman himself didn't want to be here, but they had no choice.

"When can we fight some danger?"

Everybody, (not Batman 'cause he's Batman) physically face palmed themselves. Who would say that? Why would he say that? Why is he on this team? These were the few questions they will never get answers to no matter how long they interrogate him.

Black Canary was just about to beat Batman at telling the Flash off, but a certain... red head... came crashing into the room.

KF was going so fast that he didn't have time to realize what was going on. The world speed up even more than usual and he was lying in heap with someone on the ground that was littered with papers.

Before the leaguers could move, KF had run right into the table, flipping over it, bringing a stack of papers and his mentor down with him.

Everyone was wide eyed except for Batman who was just sighing. Batman wasn't surprised to see that specific member of the team crash into something. He was actually, (not that he would show it), amused that of all people, he crashed right into his uncle.

KF jumped of his uncle. He faced the leaguers and worry was etched onto his face, (so were some scratches but you know... no time for that...).

"BATMAN! ARTEMIS IS ABOUT TO WAKE ROBIN UP!"
