Once the sun arose and everypony got up, LightningPop decided to make more friends. The pegasus trotted around the orphanage. Everyone here except SweetSea seemed to be.. well...
corrupted.
The same answer over and over, playing like a broken record that won't stop.
" No."
LightningPop finally decided to stop searching. SweetSea was all she needed. The bell rang for lunch and everypony went to the tables. Lightning sat next to who seemed two siblings and a small mare with no back hoof. They served apple sauce and old milk. Before LightningPop could take even a nibble, a loud yell rang across the mess hall...
" FOOD FIGHT!!"
Spoonfuls of applesauce flung into the air and landed on nearby fillies, firing back with flinging their spoons. The mares in charge didn't seem to care. LightningPop saw SweetSea get it and she began to cry. This filled the little pegasus with pure rage.
LightningPop yelled, " STOP NOW YOU.. YOU IDIOTS!!!"
The screech rang across the whole room.
" NO WONDER WHY WE ARE ALL HERE, YOU GAVE NO REASON FOR ANYONE TO LOVE YOU!! ATTACKING A BLIND PONY WITH NO MEANS OF FREAKING SELF DEFENSE?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL?!!!!"
Silence fell as gasps filled the air. Two stallions obviously bigger than LightningPop got up and retorted, " You shouldn't have said that, princess."
The pegasus was pulled from her chair and slammed across the ground. Cheers and gasps rang around as the fight began. The first stallion slamming his hoof straight across LightningPop's face. The second kicking the pegasus from the back. Lightning crashed to the floor, unable to move. Since the first filly was a unicorn, he used magic to throw her into the wall. A loud crunch came from her as blood trickled down LightningPop's nose. The second stallion grabbed a broken toy head and jabbed it into her back, leaving a rather medium cut on her back. Lightning felt dizzy as she fell down. Nausea came over her as everyone started to panic. Everyones cries were blurred by a ringing and the whole world faded to black. The pegasus awoke in her room with multiple bandages and a stitch on her back. Her head ached but not that bad as it did before. SweetSea's messy clobbering of hooves came into the room. The soft words of the earth pony rang in Lightning's ears.
" Are you okay?"
" Yeah, " LightningPop replied, " Just aching a bit." SweetSea managed to climb up the wooden ladder up to the pegasus's bunk. She laid a piece of candy on Lightning's bed sheet and said, " I know Its against to rules to have food outside the orphanage, but.. I want to be a candy shop owner." Lightning smiled and replied, " Thank you so much." SweetSea climbed down and before heading out said, " Thanks for defending me."
The door creaked shut and LightningPop sighed.
" Day 20 of the orphanage."
