I'm glad you're here. You're finally here. I've been waiting for you. Please, sit down and get comfortable. No! Don't glance away. Not even for a moment. I need you to see me. You know that feeling deep in your gut, that twittery that warns you that you're being watched. Most people panic at this, thrash their head around and run. Before I met you, I did that as well. Fear filled me from my toes to the tips of my hair. But now, when I feel the butterflies awaken and a pair of eyes scan my whereabouts a smile creeps onto my face. Because I know it's you. I know you're back. Some nights I lay awake and I worry that you might forget about me, might leave me to relive my story over and over again alone. That's when I realized now much I needed you. Depended on your sparkling, gorgeous eyes and imaginative head in which I truly come alive. I need you, like a fish needs water. Although I could also say like a human needs oxygen, without oxygen a person would die but every time they breathe a chemical in the air slowly kills them a little more. I think that may be our relationship. I wake up and go through the motions, waiting for that feeling. Waiting for your eyes. Some days I wish to be free, but would I be free in my own dimension or in yours? I wait for you as you live your life, longingly awaiting your return. I sit patiently while you're in class, words muffled and actions undetectable. I breath in the sweet sweet air as you open my cover and flip through my pages, the world comes alive. Do you know that? Do you realize that I notice you too? I give you my thoughts. My feelings. My life story. I seek comfort in you when I am feeling down. I do not leave your side and my life becomes dull when you leave me. What do you think? What do you feel? What's your life story? Do you seek solace in me as well?
I am the main character.
And I love you.
