Chapter 1: By Day By Night

chapter 1...first chapter ever......wish me luck :D 

Bright red blood covered the floor at my feet, spreading farther and farther across the floor. Corpses lined the floor and there were as many as there were stars in the sky. My cape now stained crimson, my pants dyed maroon. This is me. 

I saw one of the bodies struggle to get up, with one slash of my sharp sharp Katana, that body back onto the crimson floor, never to move again. I smirked as i saw my work laid out before me. The millions of bodies...when was the last time i saw something like this? Haha oh yeah. that would be just yesterday. 

I looked down at my tainted hands, covered in blood. I lifted my right hand to my mouth and lapped up some of the blood. "Mhhhhmmmnnnn." i mumbled licking my lips. It was rather difficult for me to stop myself from draining every body i see...I've gotten used to seeing food just laying in front of me, ready for the taking. Boy oh boy do i wish i could have all this to myself. 

"Hehe" by night i'm  the phantom of the rose, by day I'm normal highschool student. hehe that's what i like about night. I just love the sound of the hearts' of my prey as they race and suddenly stop. HeHe how i love the feeling of my sword burying into their chests. Each time i do so, i feel a step closer to avenging my family. 

I feel no guilt. Why should i? They brought this death upon themselves. Each person i kill has there own role in the planning of my family's death. They plan, they pay. The plan was perfect. To have the DakuSuta family come crashing down and then they can over throw any one of the royal familes. 

Hehe apparently they didn't think that plan out to carefully. Cause they got one little problem. And that's me. If this was a year ago, I would have had nightmares of all of this, but that was a year ago. This is now. This is today's me.

I unsheathed my katana and in a flash, i was gone. Haha i almost forgot to tell you...I'm no human. As a demon of the night, I'm faster than the speed of light. Hehe...i like being what i am. Everybody is scared of me....well everybody that is my prey. Never will i ever feel the daintiest bit of fear. 

I was back at home base with in the next few seconds. It was buzzling with the many other members of Masuku. 

Some turned to look at me with surprised expressions on their faces. Others.....probably got used to the sight of so much blood on a single person... I walked up to the secretary, her name was Yuuki Shanata. "Hey Miss S, i got today's report." I said smirking. "The entire Shintani Family is gone." 

She looked at me, nope...no surprise anywhere on her face. "Again? if you keep going at this pace, you'll have most of the world's families gone by January." she said clapping her hands together. I laughed. "And by then, revenge will be mine." She rolled her eyes. "Revenge Revenge Revenge! Eish you know you're doing this all on your own? We're only teaching you about battle and things." I laughed. "I know! and i'll definetly be done very very soon!" She raised an eyebrow.

"Little boys should becareful. This is a battlefield, not a playground. One false move and someone loses a head. It aint all down hill from here. As soon as you turn the wrong way, it'll all be up hill from there." I smirked. "Don't worry Miss S, thats never gonna happen to me!" She shooked her head. "ok kid."

Once i was all cleaned up, i headed home to my mansion. As soon as i opened the door, two gooseberries jumped on me! "Ichirou!" My funny Tomoya jumped on me, making me tumble backwards. "Oniichan!" My little sister jumped on me too. wow! they sure are heavy! 

Tomoya was sitting on my stomache and Misa was on my legs. those two always tried to ambush me. With one push, i sent them both flying onto the couch. "Hehe, what are you two doing up so late?" i asked. "OneeChan said she'd watch Spice and wolf with me until you got back." 

haha...Oneechan..Misa loves calling Tomoya that..even though she isn't related to us. We're all like one big family. Tomoya always comes to stay with us through the cold holidays. I'm so glad we have the royal families to look after our home, none of us would know what to do. 

I smiled and hugged them both. "Haha ok, but since I'm back, off to bed with you!" I picked Misa up and carried her off to bed. "I don't want to sleep! It's only 12pm!" I laughed and pushed her under the covers. She laughed and gave up, snuggling down into the pillow. I smiled. This is me. This is me when i'm with my loved ones.

When i returned to the kitchen i found Tomoya snuggled on the couch with popcorn. "Come on, i don't wanna watch White Lion alone." I laughed and plonked myself down on the couch. "Okie dokie macaronni." I enjoyed everyday that i had with my girls. Mainly because school was starting in a matter of days and things wont be as calm and carefree then.

It was about 1 am. Tomoya was making some milk to drink down before sleeping. "You want some?" she called from the kitchen. "Yeah!" i called back. After a few minutes she came with two cups of steaming milk. I took a small sip and licked my lips. "Thanks...you always know how much sugar to put in!" She smiled and sipped her milk. "Yep! thanks!" I smiled but my smile faded in a moment... 

She looked at me. "You okay, Ichirou?" I managed a small smiled.. "yeah..." She raised an eyebrow. "You always say yeah, what is wrong?" I sighed. "its just that you make milk just like how my mom did it. You make it perfectly creamy and sweet. Reminds me so much of her. " 

She smiled and patted my shoulder. "I'm sorry if i'm making you a tad bit upset.." she said. I laughed and nudged her. "Eh its ok." She nodded and took another sip. "its been a long time since we talked about them...haven't we? to think we've become so good friends just 4 years ago." 

I smiled and thought..I remembered exactly what happened. Every detail of that day....
