"Colette! Are you up there?" Mum called up the the ladder of the tree house
"Yeah mum!"
"The girls are here!" Her words bring a smile to myself and before I know it I am being bundled by 2 girls.
Gingey - or better known as Samantha but due to her ginger hair no one calls her Sam - shouts "Coco!" As she squeezes me tightly
"Hello, Coco!" Annabella shouts
"Why must you call me Coco?" I groan "Where's Maddy?" I furrow my eyebrows looking my missing friend Madison.
"Probably stalking some guy" Gingey laughs as the two girls finally climb off me
"Ok! You can all stop crying now! I'm here!" Maddy yells as she carefully climbs up the ladder
"Madison Kate Simpson, where have you been?" Annabella shouts - though it sounded more like a howler from Harry Potter
"Following George around" Ouch. Her words made me feel like my heart was being squeezed.
It's like she doesn't stand how much I like him! And I know she knows!
See in my whole 13 years every guy I've liked had liked Maddy and not me. What makes this worse, I know George likes her and soon Maddy will phone me and say that George asked her out and then see if it's ok to say yes and me being the stupid, push over I am, have had enough, This ends here.
"I dibs George" I blurt out
"What?" Gingey laughs
"New rule: If we see a guy that more than one of us like, we dibs, deal?" I offer
"Deal"
"Deal"
"I- I don't know..."
"Maddy!" I exclaim
"But I'm not exactly... Observant-!"
"Just say deal!" Annabella yells
"Eugh fine. Deal"
Let the games begin.
