I Have To Make The Vampire Prince Marry Me In A Month Or My Mom Will Die!(Chp-2)
While sobbing my heart out on a prince's chest, I had fallen into a some-what comfortable sleep.
Hours later, I had waken up to find myself comfortable on the bed with no sign of the prince what so ever.
Anxious to get out unnoticed, I had slipped on my dress and darted home with speed neither a human nor a vampire could manage.
If I am not either, then what am I?
I am a homo-vamp.
The result of a human and vampire.
When a human and vampire mated, they gave rise to the most powerful species on earth.
A homo-vampire.
Super-strength, super-speed, ability to go out in the sun unscorched and we can survive on food or blood alone.
Unlike the humans, vamps had more strength and speed than humans but not much.
They can eat and they eat for pleasure but they need blood to survive.
But no-one said blood is yummy.Its actually very revolting but in-order for a vamp to survive, they need blood.
But a vamp can never get sick, except from the deprivation of blood.
A vamp can go out into sunlight, only after imprinting but a false imprint can kill you, unless you really love that person, you cannot and should not imprint.
Imprinting is quite easy, you can to taste each-others blood at the same time.Directly from the neck or from a cup, doesn't matter.
And yes vamps had blood but they need life-blood to survive, the blood from a throbbing vein in a human's neck.
And because the majority of vamps cant go out in the sun, Chaosity is underground and is illuminated with a dull red glow.
Under here, everything is there from books to the most modern technology.
Why?Because a lot of vamps go up to the surface after imprinting and send the food, equipment and blood the vamps need.
Its risky business but vamps are gifted.
Not all and no one is born with it.
It is earned or found.
And at a time, only 10 vamps can be gifted.
And these are the nobility.
Anyone who gets gifted is instantly in the inner-circle.
But there was a time when 11 vamps were gifted, that was the time, vamps got the throne.....from the homo-vamps.
I'm not the only homo-vamp, there is a very small community in the out-skirts of the city.
They ruled all the vamps, centuries ago because of their superior abilities, but never had a homo-vamp been gifted and when 11 vamps got gifted, the vamps got more powerful and the throne was handed over to the vamps.
The homo-vamps hate the vamps and the vamps are terrified of the homo-vamps.If a homo-vamps chooses to live with the vamps, they will be more than welcome but if the situation was reversed,.....its a no.
Which makes me a kind of traitor.
I could have gone to them, then I wouldn't have had to endure this humiliation, even my mom would be welcome there but my dad wouldn't be and I couldn't make him welcome there.
So I had to come to the vamps, and make my mom get accepted but I kind of ruined that too.
Tears prickled and filled my eyes as my bleak future took shape in front of me.
They were going to die, because of me.
A soft arm wrapped itself around me and hugged me with motherly care.
I hugged her and cried again into her shoulder regretting that I was ever born.
"Is Miss Ella Dorkov here?"
I raised my head at my name and looked towards the door-way of the make-shift house we had gotten.A man dressed in royal purple and red stood there with a bow.
"Yes?"I said rising.If this guy has come for my mom, I could take him.He was short and plump.I could beat the living-daylights out of hi-
"Ma'am, your presence is required at the palace."
"Mine?"I asked, confused.Now evn my dad had appeared, a protective look on his face.
"Yes ma'am."
I turned and looked at my parents confused but their faces masked my own.
I turned back to shorty and said,"Okay, give me a moment."
I walked into the only room in the house and started rifling through my clothes and picked out a pair of dark jeans and a baby-pink tank.
I changed into them after a quick shower and left my brown curls to tumble across my back and pulled on my black converse.
After a dab of light-pink lip-gloss I made my way out again.
"Honey, do you know why you have to go?"my dad asked, his face a mask of worry.
"No dad but I cant refuse an order from the royals."
He sighed and looked at my mom, passing a message through his eyes.
He then got up and put his arm around her and turned to me,"Be safe and no-matter what happens we will always love you and be proud of you."
For the umpteenth time, tears found their way into my eyes and I blinked them back, I had to be strong for them.
I walked forward and gave them both a hug, clinging on to them, wishing I never had to let go but then with sudden determination, I turned and left the house, seeing their faces full of worry and sadness, both for me and them.
This could be the last time I saw them, I thought as I got into a black car and drove away.
What the future held for me, I never knew or will know.
