"Pant..."

Joe was tired; very tired, it seemed. How could he not? For many minutes, he had to run away from fast, violent robots that kept chasing and even shooting him, for reasons he did not know. The only thing he knew was that they were looking for a certain DeCrab guy. Whatever links he had with that guy, he knew nothing about.

Luckily, the robots looked to have given up. Joe noticed there were no noises or sounds of floating machines from where he was in the alley. Thus, the young man wiped his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief. Then, he put his hands on his pants' right rear pocket to get his mask; the blue-colored mask he used to wear when fighting crime.

Unfortunately for him, there was no crime to stop at that time. Instead, wearing his ninja costume was just a way for him to disguise himself.

I am still here, Joe thought. It is already day two, and still I have not found a way home. This is getting annoying.

He walked on in the dark alley in the shadows of the night, hoping to get out of it and catch a ride home if possible.

His hands kept gently in his pockets, he walked quietly while slowly turning his head around. There was nothing in sight again, so he carried o. After a minute or so, he reached a wider route, which he assumed might lead to an exit from the increasingly dark alley; a place that many do not like.

Joe thought he needed to speak up, maybe someone might respond and help him.

"Hello?" he asked. "Anyone here?"

It was night time, but under the mask, he was sweating a lot. Unfortunately, he got no response from anyone. Again, it looked like he was to resume his lonely walk.

Then, the persevering Joe caught a glimpse of yellow lights. They were just inches in front of him. Joe soon realized that the lights were a signal, to show that he is inches away from leaving the alley and returning to the city center.

It was all going well, until he spotted a red dot pointed towards his left arm. Then, another dot appeared on his right arm, followed by his legs, hands and eyes. He closed his eyes because of the radiation from the red lasers. The dots were still pointed at him.

"What is this?" asked Joe.

"Stop where you are!" the voice of a police robot yelled. "You are being surrounded!"

At first, Joe thought he was in some sort of prank. Appearing from the shadows were not one, not two but four police robots, all pointing red lasers, from their strong steel heads, onto him. He was already showing signs of fear and, to a lesser degree, frustration. Fear, because of the merciless manner in which the robots handle their enemies. Frustration, because all he wanted to do was to get home, to Creamland, but in many occasions, he was stopped by the police. While he was in good terms with the Creamland police, he was seen as the enemy in Eagle Eye.

"I told you many times," Joe said. "You got the wrong..."

"Silence!" exclaimed one of the robots. "We are under orders to capture and compromise DeCrab, and that is an order we must obey! Surrender, DeCrab, or you will be shot."

"Or you can surrender peacefully," said another. "You have five seconds before we shoot."

"But I am not DeCrab!" Joe cried out.

"Liar!"

Anyway, the five seconds Joe had was all that he needed to continue his journey. A quick flip into a dark corner made him invisible to the eyes of the robots. Still, the robots were quick to chase him again. This time, they were all following at a faster rate.
