I'm not even kidding I'm freaking out! I told my friend Niki about the Games. She started tearing up... a lot, because her mom & dad died there. She lives with a foster family now. "This is all wrong!" I scream when I get home, everyone was staring at me confused. "We shouldn't be treated like wild animals!" My mom walked up to me and looks at me disappointed of my actions. "I'm sorry." My mom gives me a kiss on the cheek and says,"Don't worry about the future think of the present." But what she probably forgot the reaping is tomorrow afternoon."All I want is my normal life back mom." "I know dear." What my mom usually tells me is Life isn't fair, but this time she doesn't say that.
Jakes POV
It's Sunday the reaping. I wake up super early only cause my mom woke me up so I could get in my best outfit for the reaping. My mom puts me in nice pants and a shirt and some dress shoes that are black. I agree what Parker said last night. We aren't wild animals! What did we ever do to the capital. Let me think... NOTHING! When Parker leaves her room she is in a white shirt and a brown skirt she had one braid going down her back. She had a little piece of her shirt sticking out the back. Mom says,"You better put that tail back you little duckling." I wonder where she got that from.
