Yes, this title is a reference to Red Queen, and yes I know this took too long. I thought that I published it, but I guess I didn't, and now we're all stuck with a flood of chapters. Sorry guys!
Enjoy,

Flashback 15: Little Lightning Girl
Von Strucker's office still held the same malicious twist as it did when Aurelia visited it the last time. The only difference was the canary yellow files that formed a cityscape on his oak desk, and Strucker's demeanour. Instead of reading a file to distract himself from her insolence, he was sitting straight with a ballerina's posture, hands clasped firmly as if barely able to control himself for jumping up and kicking her ass.
Well, try to kick her ass.
Aurelia closed the door behind her, grimly noting the line which his lips had become. "Von Strucker. You asked to see me," she reported, clenching her own fists in the pockets of her leather jacket. Hopefully she wouldn't have to use them.
"Yes, I believe I did," Strucker replied, grinning with as much sweetness as a lemon, his stern mouth transformed into a joker's grin as he asked, "Tell me, what is today's date?"
Aurelia allowed herself to sit down his consulting chair, her jeans squeaking on the fake brown leather. "The 31st." Von Strucker's chuckle was terrifying, and so was his smile, it reminded her of the Ghost Train she rode with Pietro. "Yes, I thought so," the HYDRA agent stood up and walked around the desk, standing on her left, "You're due for you're Slating today."
Maybe he was meant for the last part to be inaudible, in which case he underestimated her- a horrible mistake.
"Which means..." Von Strucker trailed off and punched her.
Yep, that just happened.
Aurelia rubbed her cheek where his fist impacted. Thankfully, she had grown a slight resistance to a regular punches thanks to training with Pietro. "Wow. I mean I saw that punch coming a mile away, but I expected it to be all weak."
The HYDRA agent grinned, the tip of his tongue visible through his cheek making her stomach do a commando roll. "I've been wanting to do that for a long while," he grunted, voice dangerously low as he cracked the knuckles on his left hand.
If it was a fight he wanted, so be it.
"You have no idea who you're dealing with," she whispered, feeling S.H.A.D.O switching on.
"I know very well," Strucker answered, standing up from his chair and strolling around his desk as if in a suburban park. Aurelia too stood up, reaching his height and a little extra. No way was she going to have any disadvantage in the coming fight.
"Well, in that case, you just signed your own death warrant."
Aurelia punched first.
The clip landed square on his jaw, almost sending the HYDRA leader to the ground. You couldn't expect too much from a first punch. For better or worse, he got back up, and managed to get her against the wall, hands wrapped around her in a wrap that was quickly suffocated her.
Aurelia gasped, struggling to get even the smallest tendril of air into her lungs, she floundered against the concrete wall for a few more seconds, before coming to her senses and lifting her left knee, hitting him hard in a special place.
Strucker let go of his firm hold around her throat, and Aurelia gasped, rejoicing in the swift sweep of air that poured down her windpipe like rain in the desert.
