(Jade)
I watched as Sam came inside again. "Hey." He leant in to kiss me. "Hi." I turned my face so his lips met my cheek.
"Jade...look, I don't think this is working out." He sat down on the couch after a moment of thought, sitting in front of me. He was right, nothing felt right about us, there wasn't a spark in us anymore-maybe there never was. "I know, I'm sorry Sam, I wish I could've been a better girlfriend-you deserve better." I sighed knowing what just left my lips was true, I was always working on my school work and busy with my work and dance practice. "I'm sorry too Jade, I guess it just wasn't that right, but can we still be friends?" He asked slightly sad. "I hope so, but, not right now I'm sorry." I gave him one last hug; he kissed my forehead. "Sure. Maybe it's what's needed for now. See you around." He said. "See you around." I answered grabbing my things and walked out the door. As soon as it closed I felt a tear run down my cheek, why didn't anything work out for me? Did everything always have to end this way?
I phoned Perrie asking her to come and pick me up. "Where are you?" She asked. "Outside Sam's house." I mumbled. "Why?" She sounded concerned. "Just come and I'll tell you the rest." I said quietly ending the call sitting on the curb waiting for my best friend to come and pick me up.
"What on earth are you doing down there?" A magical voice asked; I turned seeing a girl standing in front of me in black skinnies and a brown cardigan over a striped top with amazing brown curls and sparkling hazel eyes. For a second I was stunned, we both just stared at each other for a while.
"W-er, I'm waiting for my friend." I admitted breaking the silence; why am I talking to a stranger? I have no idea.
"Are you sure you're okay? It's getting late." She said sounding genuinely concerned for me. "Yeah, I'm okay thanks-" "Jesy. The name is Jesy." She smiled kindly to me. "Thanks Jesy, I'm Jade." I shook her hand. Then a car's headlights began to grow closer to us; I easily spotted a blonde head in the driver's seat. "That would be me." I said; she nodded. "See you around." She smiled. "I'll see you around." I smiled back at her before she turned and walked back off, wow, she was gorgeous.
"Jade? Jaaaadeyy, I've been standing in front of you for a while." Perrie waved her hand in my face; I snapped out of my daze. "Oh, erm sorry babe! Zoned out for a sec." I gave her a peck on the cheek. "Why aren't you inside?" She asked after looking me over. "Get in the car." I tugged her inside then we parked a few streets down close to school. "Jadey what's wrong?" She asked. "Me and Sam broke up." Strangely, it didn't hurt when I said it-I felt slightly better. "What? Why?" Her eyes grew wide. "It just didn't feel right anymore, I don't know why-but why does it have to happen to me?" I sighed into my hands. "Baba, come on, you will find someone, I know you will." She gave me a hug. "Why is this so confusing." I muttered into her shoulder. "I don't know." She admitted looking into my eyes, unaware of how close our faces were. "Life is messed up." I decided. "Yeah." She breathed, I found myself leaning forwards until I registered her lips on mine-shit I just kissed my best friend. She pulled away confused. "What was that for?" She spoke quietly. "I'm sorry, I was looking for a distraction." My eyes flitted down nervously. She nodded. "I've needed one recently." She answered still in thought; that's not suprising, she's been through the heck of a lot in her life-a divorce, being shunned by her own father for being bisexual, and her mam's death.
"Sorry pez, really, I'm just tired of everything falling apart right when I want it to work-it NEVER stays the way I want it to." I groaned. Perrie rubbed calming circles on my back comforting me. "It's okay baba I know how you feel." She said holding me against her chest. "Thanks Pezza." I smiled gratefully at her."mhmm, did you eat yet?" She asked going all motherly on me. I chuckled, "yes mam, I had a pack of digestives."
"Alright, anyways well, since you've been over at his place all the time don't be surprised that we have another roommate." She began to drive home. "Oh cool! Do you know who it is!?" I bounced up on my seat-what if Cher moved in! She was an absolute nutcase! (When she wanted to be). "Yeah, but I'll let you see." She chuckled pulling into the school lot. She turned off the car and turned to me. "I know just what Jadey needs!" She held her hand out for me. I smiled taking her hand. "You need a cuddle from your Pezza!" She declared; I giggled and got out of the car walking down with her to the beach. We didn't say anything really, just enjoyed our company and lay together in the sand relaxing.
