General POV:

He awoke with a start. Nick realized he was alone on the couch of their apartment, and just figured Judy had just gotten up to go take a shower or something. He then tried to figure out what woke him up so suddenly because he had no recollection of why. Nick looked at the clock on the end table of their couch, and it read out 4:37 AM. "God, its so damn early, what is Judy doing?" he said to himself sleepily. As he walked around the dark room, he thought he heard the faintest of noises, like a cackle of sorts "Teeth falling on metal" he thought "Probably just Judy, or my mind" he thought. Than he remembered why Judy wasn't there "She had to go in early today." he thought. Nick headed to the kitchen for a quick bite to eat before attempting to go back to sleep, but when he made it the kitchen he heard the same noise again. "That definitely wasn't my mind that time." he thought as he went to the entryway and grabbed the bat they kept in case of a situation much like the one he was currently in. When he made it to the bedroom door, he stopped and listened for any sounds, but it was dead silent much like it was before. As quietly as he could, he opened the door and made his way in, bat at the ready, and stood there, dumbfounded. The entire room was empty, say for one chair in the center "What the hell? No this can't be real, it just cant." he stammered. As he turned to leave he heard the noise for a 3rd time, but could clearly make it out this time. It was the brushing of fabric on a concrete. When he finally turned around, he stood there, terrified as only a grey wall was standing in front of him. He stepped back in shock and felt something brush his leg. When he looked down, he thought the outline looked familiar, but he couldn't see clearly in the dark room. "wait, how could I see at all? it should be pitch black?" he said to no one in particular. He looked up and saw the dim glow of a light fixture on the ceiling above the chair. The noise came around again, but this time he saw who, or what it was. It appeared to be a wolf, completely cloaked in a blue blanket, was pacing back and forth against the far wall. Nick couldn't tell why, but something was wrong about them, something unnatural. "H-hello?" he stammered out in between shuddering breaths.  A cackle came from the being as it slowly turned and made its way forward towards Nick. As it came closer and closer it began to laugh louder and louder, than it stopped moving and stood there. The two shared an intense look at each other until Nick ran at full speed with the bat. A massive hand shot out of the cloak and grabbed Nick and pinned him to the ceiling "No no no Mr. Wilde that's no way to introduce yourself." it said as it began to lower nick to the ground. "And besides, that wouldn't be a very good idea." nick began to step backwards "W-who are you and why are you and why are you in my house?" Nick said. "Your house? To me it looks like mine. And to answer your 1st question, my name is not important you'll learn soon enough." the man stated in an unusually chipper tone. Nick, still holding his bat tried to find an exit, until he tripped over something warm. "Missing something?" the man laughed as nick saw what he had tripped over. "Oh, god no, no this isn't real, not real!" he yelled as he saw the mutilated body of Judy. Her legs were torn off and placed by her arms, the flesh covering her chest was gone, and her heart was missing like the others. Each rib had been stabbed into her side and had the words "These gave us life, but only bring me death". Without provocation the man dropped his cloak and ran at nick, grabbing him by the throat. But running wouldn't be the proper term to describe the way it moved, as he had no legs to speak of, he more glided above the surface. His body was covered in tattoos of the same symbols that had been carved into Margret's skin. "You will never win this war, boy." he said too nick, clutched in his hand again. "At least I can win the battle." he said through choked breaths as he full forced slammed the bat over the mans head. He awoke screaming, covered in cold sweat and shaking. "What the hell, Nick are you ok?" Judy said concerned to Nick. Nick grabbed her and dragged her close to hug her, and said in her ear "Something bad is gonna happen if we try this case. We can't do it.
