Prologue

Running....... Running  faster than my feet could carry me, I had to get to him before they did, if they did I knew there was no way to stop them, they said this day would come but we didn't believe them look where that got us, me running to save him and being chased by those who try to stop me. I stop to take a breathe, he is close, I know it then I hear my name, someone calling me, I ran the way it was coming in the clearing the scene changed I was in an abandoned lot and there he was running up to me, I smile because I know we can be together. I look behind me and there was a dark forest was coming closer, How was this possible? I turn back to him, closing my eyes and taking a deep breathe, finally we can be together after all this time I listened to my surroundings and could hear the birds chirping happily, then the sound disappeared and I heard what sounded like a gunshot I flung my eyes opened, he was yelling at me but I couldn't hear him  "RUN!!!! April, don't look back". I turn, nothing was there except the dark forest it had moved some more coming closer and closer, I turn back to him only to see someone standing behind him, I take a step forward "April no run get out of here NOW!!" the person shook his head and smiled, I felt someone grab me from behind "Where do you think your going?" I closed my eyes waiting for it, pain shot up my back I opened my eyes to see movement "Why did you do that Phil? You could of killed her?" "Well I'm not the one who shot at her Jeff". My head started to hurt with these two going at it only made things worse until someone cleared there throat "Will you two shut up or I'm going to shoot you both" I look up to see Phil and Jeff standing over me "Sorry Boss" they both said staring at something I followed their star to young guy maybe in his 20's walking toward us, wait where was A (I called him A cause for some reason that's all I could think of) he was laying on the ground not moving at all. Who are this people, I wanted to give them a piece of my mind, I opened my mouth to speak "What did you do to him?" was what came out, the one they called boss looked down at me and smiled again like Joker smiling at batman that creepy, evil smile, "Well look who is awake, oh I didn't hit him that hard" he started to laugh like the wicked witch of the west, tears filled my eyes and I looked back at A he turned over and looked at me, we shared a moment of silence I looked into those glacier blue eyes and smiled. The silence was broken by a loud CLICK I looked at A and he started to get up, his face pale as the moon "NOOOOO!!!!!!!!" I looked to see Boss pointing a gun at me, "Boss if you pull that trigger then, we are going to be doing this again....." "I know Phil that is why I'm doing this"he moved it from my head and held it over my heart "Stop, don't hurt her" A calls as he runs towards us BANG! A went down fast, he clutched his arm and started yelling for help, Jeff and Phil went over and held him down "Now watch this is a lesson to be learned, this is the reason you don't fall in love" He cocked the gun and put it back over my heart and looked at A "Now you can't break her heart and she can't break yours, It is her destiny and this will be the last" He looked at me and smiled, "NOOOOO, why are you doing this?" "You will never find out it is her fate but this is the last time she and my generation meet", he looked into my eyes and pulled the trigger.
