Chapter 1: The Accident

I woke up to someone shaking me "hey it's me, your okay,stop screaming! Ow watch the face Jeez April" I opened my eyes to see a familiar figure over me, "Well if you would stop leaning over me and shaking me than that wouldn't of happened" I pleaded "And your weight and bad breath is killing me" he let go and I sat up laughing, he looked at me with concern as if I was crazy.

"Well if you didn't start screaming and wake me up, Do you know what time it is?" his face changed as he snapped back to his old self. Well that's Jake for ya, tall, not quite bright and a Jock who is too protective and something always bothers him (can you tell we are twins, probably not), "I was not Screaming and what you need your beauty sleep princess?"

He looked at my with the face I knew so well, the 'You are gonna regret that' look, 5....4.....3....2....1 here it comes "You were too screaming, and to answer your question yes I need sleep we have a game tomorrow" I hope he realizes that yelling is never the answer, "So you are Cinderella and I am Belle" I couldn't say it without laughing but I think he got the idea. Jake looked at me, his shoulders drooped and he started laughing "Ya and you will never marry a beast Belle and I am going to the ball for some fun" I fell off my bed laughing and Jake fell on the floor, "You know that you are going to have to be home before midnight cause your sparkly dress is going to disappear and you will be left in your maiden clothes"

I look at him and his top lip carved into a smile, he opened his mouth to say something then the light from the hall shining on his face turned black as night we looked at my door and saw mom and dad. Dad looked from Jack to me and smiled, mom on the other hand just looked at us like she did when we got caught sneaking in the house after we snuck out to go to a party at the Big House (it is an old building outside of town that they through parties at any way I drove us home and right when we went through the door there was mom sitting on the stairs with the mom look. After that night they got a security system and never told us the code, so now we are under house arrest and no car.

"So what are you two doing at 5:00 in the morning, that is so loud that it woke me and your mother?"dad said trying to sound mad, "Well I was sleeping until I heard April screaming, so I came in here and tried to wake her up" Jack trying to be innocent pleaded. "Then he almost killed me with his weight and bad breathe, then we argued and I made a joke and we fell laughing as you can see" and that must of been a good reason because mom's look changed back to her smooth I'm not mad look but irritated kinda way. Finally she spoke "So what was the joke that you told your brother that got you two to fall laughing so hard?, and I know it must have been a good one since you both have tears running down your face and both of your faces are red" I looked at Jack then at dad we were shocked, we didn't expect her to ask that question in fact we expected her to start telling us what we did wrong and what the punishment was but this was the first time in a long time since we went to that party.

"Well it started when I told Jack that I wasn't screaming and then asked him if he needed his beauty sleep, he answered yes that I was screaming and that he did need his sleep cause he has a game. So I decided to make a joke about it and came up with 'So you are Cinderella and I am Belle, he answered ya and that I will never marry a beast and then......" Jack interrupted telling his side of the story " Then I said that I was going to the ball for some fun, and after that April ruined my fun by saying....." he did it to me so I am going to do it to him "By saying that he will have to be back home before midnight because his sparkly dress is going to disappear and he will be back in his maiden clothes"

I look at Jack and we both look at our parents and started laughing again, but froze when we looked at our parents who stood there in the door way looking at us actually if you ask me they more like stared, which was starting to creep and scare us then they both smiled and started laughing then me and Jack jumped on my bed and held each other. Then mom and dad came over and said "Sorry we didn't mean to scare you two, and to that joke was the best joke by far that we have heard.
