Chapter 2

The police arrive ten minutes later. I tell them everything. All the times Mr. Link has abused Sadie. The three times he hit me and all the times he's threatened me, Jacob, and Sadie. "Why has this never been reported? Do your parents know?" Officer Marks questions. He's my uncle so of course he's asking a lot of questions.

"We were scared. We thought he'd kill us if we told anyone. No my parents don't know." I'm trying to handle this calmly. A doctor comes up to us.

"There's good news and bad news. The good news is that she is going to live. The bad news is that when her father stabbed her the knife punctured one of her lungs. We can't release her for about two months." My heart fills with joy once I hear that Sadie's going to live.

"That's great thank you Dr. Malece." Brandon thanks the doctor. There's a commotion at the front doors. In walks the four men who had been sent to get Mr. Link. Two of the men are bleeding heavily. The other two have small cuts on there face and arms. I stare at them in shock. Nurses rush to their sides and start examining there wounds. The least injured one walks limps over to Officer Marks.

"Apparently Mr.link was expecting us. Him and a few other guys ambushed us. We," he points to the other three guys and then points to himself,"were lucky to get out of there alive." Officer Marks walks away with the police man.

"Come on let's get you and Jacob home." Brandon stands up pulling me with him. I don't want to go home. All that awaits is a beating from dad. "Why don't you want to go home?" Damn it I actually said that out loud. "Yes, yes you did. Anyway if you don't want to go home you could stay at my place. My parents are away on a work trip. There's a guest room you could use, Jacob could use my room and I could stay in my parents room....." He trails off waiting for me to say something.

"Why are you being so nice to me? You just met me today and don't say it's because you pity us." I gestured to Jacob who was sitting on the floor starring at the wall. Brandon didn't answer for awhile. Finally he answered me.

"It's not that I pity you it's because..... Well........ Inowhatitsliketobebullied."

Hey guys so what do you think? I'm gona do Brandon's POV next. I'm only 12 so sorry if u don't like it. Deal with it. I have lots o homework but I'm gona try to update it every other Saturday. Chapter 3

Brandon's POV

I had only one idea of why I was being nice to this girl, it was that I understood some of what she's going through. I was bullied at my old school that's why I came here to Stars Academy. Now I felt obligated to help Avalon. It must be horrible for Sadie to. "What did you say?" Avalon's question distracted me from my thoughts. I took a deep breath before answering.

"I was bullied at my old school so I kind of get some of the stuff your going through." I manage to keep my voice calm. Avalon just stares at me with her mouth hanging open.

"Let's go." Now it was my turn to be shocked. I didn't think she'd take me up on that offer. After all she did just meet me today. I watched her as she gently spoke to Jacob. He got up and walked over to me with Avalon right by his side.

"Um ok. Do you need to call your parents first?" Avalon quickly shook her head. I nodded and started towards the car. It was silent the entire drive to my house. When we got there Avalon hesitated before stepping out of the car. "Ok Avalon you get the guest room, it's on the right up the stairs, Jacob you get my room, it's right across from the guest room." they dont move.

"where are you going to sleep?" Avalon questions. " Dont say the couch cause me and Jacob can share a bed. it doesnt feel right kicking you out of your own room." she adds stoping me from answering her. 

"No its ok you can have my room." i reply with a slight smile. Avalon shakes her head. "Oh um yeah so if you or Jacob need you can borrow some clothes from me or my sister." This time its Jacob who asks a question.

"You have a sister?" I can see the tears still in his eyes and know he's just trying to keep his thoughts away from Sadie.

"Yeah. The guest room used to be her room before she moved out. Now she's in college." I answer. Avalon starts walking towards the small kitchen. "I almost forgot if your hungry I can try and make something for you guys."

"How about I cook, I can make pizza." Avalon says while digging through the fridge. I just nod. "Hey Jake why don't you go explore the back yard." By the time she's finished her sentence Jacob is already outside. "So Brandon when we get back to school tomorrow can you please not hang around me all the time?" She asks and I just stare at her. "Look I know you just want to help me and Jacob but if you don't leave me alone at school you'll become an outcast to." 

"I honestly don't care if i'm an outcast and if its because your worried about Nicole being mean and all that well i can help you with her." I finish, Avalon stares at me for awhile before continueing with makeing the pizza. Before she turns away from me I see tears in her eyes. "Whats wrong?" I put my hand on her shoulder and spin her around to face me.

"I just don't want anyone to get dragged into this." I sigh and give her an expectant look. She continues quietly, "Sadies only just turned 16, violence and being unwanted are all she's ever known. Her mom died while giving birth to her and  for that her dads always hated her. Jacob and I are her only friends. We found her hidding from her dad in second grade and since then we've stuck together. Sadie and Jake are especially close." Avalon pauses and looks up at me, I motion for her to continue. "Two years ago we found out that her dad was involved in some illegal drug dealing. When he found out that we knew he started threatening me and Jacob. He said he'd kill Sadie if he ever caught use on his property again. Every time we go  to see her we always have to sneak in through her window. I guess today Sadie's dad caught Jacob visiting her and well.... he.... did what he said he'd do. Now I don't know what to do."

If your wondering why i chose to write this well its because I like many people have been bullied before, only minorly bullied, and would like to show people about what goes on in the world these days. So many people don't realize how big a problem bullying and abuse are. Oh yeah i'm going to try and update this as often as possible, but with all this homework i probably won't be able to update as much as i'd like to. *grumbles* I hate middle school!
