The quiet atmosphere enveloped him as he pulled his knees to his chest and rested his chin, his eyes closing.

His back was leaning against the hard rock, facing the dark sea. The sound of waves crashing reached his ears, it soothed his jittery soul.

Slowly opening his eyes after a few moments, he glanced at the disoriented reflection of the bright orb in the sky. Round and glowed softly, almost as if it were comforting him. Then she popped into his mind.

'This was where we'd go to spend our time together, also known as our 'little getaway' from everything' He thought to himself as he remembers the memories they've created together.

He let out a sigh through his nose before he pushed himself up, dusting sand off him. Frustration vented with nothing left but the faint traces of guilt and sadness.

He decided to look up at the sky, the moon in the middle of a thousand twinkling stars as it was the main character of a show.

The cold breeze blew past him as he stood there, his heart came up with the resolve.

He would forget her.

' Would you really forget her just like that? I don't think so. '

At that thought, his eyes glinted and a tear streaked down his cheek. The small smile curved down into a frown, quivering as more tears started to fall. He then fills his mind with questions.

' Would he really forget her like that..? Would she also forget him like that as well..? Would she still feel the same way..? Has she already found someone new..? '

No matter how furiously he tried to rub it away, fresh tears would replace it. Eventually he gave up and cried freely into his hands, muffled cries lost into the roaring waves as he fell onto his knees.

' But I don't want to forget her..' He said to himself.
