I feel like I am in a dream. I saw some weird stuff. Maybe this was a stage in maturing, you see weird stuff. But I realized what I saw was real when I asked why the librarian had a cat tail. And I swear it was real. She was holding books with it. When we got to Mr. Rufus' office, he ordered Alex to lock the door and Kamryn to close the windows."It is time you will know, Diana, your father told me."

"What, did he tell you what is going on," I tried to say as bravely as I could.

"Yo Rufus I am taking this my jacket, cape, and gloves off," Alex randomly. When she took of her cape there was a tail, with a dagger shaped point in the end. Under the gloves where claws, like a wolf. And when her jacket is off was large black bat wings. I looked over to Mr. Rufus, but he was taller and had horse legs. Kamryn was the only one who looked normal.

"I am glad I can control my wings if I want them or not," Kamryn teased.

"Yeah, but can shape shift and control the minds of people, so beat that Miss Fairy girl,"

"Girls stop it, you are confusing Diana," Mr. Rufus trotted between them. He look at me, "don't worry, just don't tell anyone OK," I looked at Alex and Kamryn, who were fighting. Alex looked at the clock and smiled mischievous.

"It is free time, Kam lets go to the roof to see who is better," Alex said, with her eyes glowing red. Then she vanished into darkness. Wings appeared, rose-red butterfly wings, on Kamryn's back. Then she was surrounded by a ball of leaves and disappeared too.

"They are very close, yet they always compete," Mr. Rufus said," now let me explain to you what a halfling is. A halfling is a creature who is usually have human and half something else. Kamryn is half forest fairy. Alex, well she is a little different. Her mother was a full demon and her father was half demon. You are half sageness, a life spirit."

"Are you a halfling?" I was wondering. Mr. Rufus chuckled.

"Depends the person. Some people think centaurs are halflings and some think we are just another creature from the ancient Greek times. There is no magic in me, but I am great at archery."

"Is that why my mother is really good at gardening and healing me quickly when I am injured?"

"Yes and you might have some of her power. If I were you, talk to Kamryn. She has the similar power as a sageness. Lets go to them now." Mr. Rufus sat down in his wheelchair, which make him look normal, and I followed him. There was an elevator in this school, which is pretty cool, and we ended up in the roof of the school. Alex and Kamryn were in the opposite ends of a arena. In the middle there was a wolf, about 5 feet tall and fur as black as night, fighting a lion, about the same height as the wolf that was made out of vines and his mane was a bush. There were two other boys watching. One had feathers coming out his arms and his feet were bird talons. Next to him was was a griffin. The other was muscular, he looked like he is in a football team and had hands made out of rock. On his side there was a giant bull, made of rocks. The feathered boy saw us coming.

"Hey its Mr. Rufus and the new girl!" he flew over to us, "nice to meet you! I am Skylar, but call me Sky if you want." The other boy came I over as well.

"I'm Stony, and welcome," he said to me. Alex and Kamryn were still in the arena, yelling commands to the animals.

"Girls get over here!" Sky went to them and drag them over. The wolf and lion followed.

"Kamryn can you help Diana with her powers?" Mr. Rufus asked. Kamryn nodded her head. Mr. Rufus look at me. "They will take care of you. Don't worry, soon you will learn how we halflings survive without humans knowing."
