CHAPTER 3- Your Friends were the Ones who broke my Nose!

Louise smirked at me.

Her nose was wrapped, which wasn't a surprise. She wore a black oversized hoodie with baggy jeans and a pair of white sneakers.

Her hair was tied back in a low ponytail. She took a step closer to me and she looked like she wated to punch me in the face. Where was the librarian, Mrs. Faze?!

"I'm gonna ask again," I hissed, "what are you doing here?! Aren't you suspended!"

Louise laughed at me, "oh, oh, Vanessa. How easy it is to fool a... Gullible girl like you. I mean, I would know, I've PRETENDED to be your friend since middle school."

My heart stung and tears flooded my eyes. All these years, our friendship wasn't real? Not at all?!

"So... Why would you... I-I just don't get it. Why?!"

Louise sighed, sitting down on a wooden chair.

"Well, well, a trip down Memory Lane seems good," she said, before laughing- wickedly, I might add- at her own... Kind of joke?

"It all started in 6th grade... when we first walked into school? We didn't know each other... So I never reall cared for you. The day went OK, but what you don't know was that, my ultimate crush... I bet you could guess who it was? Of course, Dylan Anthony.

"But what really wasn't fair.. When you accidentally bumped into Dylan, and I saw a spark in his eye; he really liked you, Vanessa... He DID. So, from then on, I knew to get closer to him, and to make sure you stay away from him, was to be your friend.

"And so I did. That day in Art class, I introduced myself. And we've been friends ever since. And I led my guard down the beginning of high school, thinking he'd be over you, since you never even notice him. But, but, I was wrong!

"That's why we weren't as close as we were in middle school. Because I thought it was time to let go, he probably moved on by the countless of girlfriends he had in middle school. So, I didn't talk to you all that much.

"You met Grace and Bella, and I was actually happy for you, until I found out you started dating Dylan; the anger came back. I hated you. I pleaded to Mr. Riggs to make me your lab partner, Vanessa. And then we became close again, and I thought that maybe by trashing Dylan you would eventually break up with him, but you never did.

"So I did what I had to do. One day, I called him and confessed I liked him. We met at Starbucks a year ago, and have been secretly dating since then. A few days ago, he said he only loved me and didn't want to be with you anymore. That's why he broke up with you. And our relationship was revealed to the public.

"I'm sorry Vanessa, I am. But you deserved it... You should've known I love him."

After finally finishing her little talk, the tears were rolling down my cheeks now as I took a deep breath and looked into my ex friend's eyes.

Wait, she never was my friend, right? Exactly.

"You're a brat, Louise. A brat! A snob, that's all you've got. You're a meanie! Go with those Barbies, they're meant for you."

With that, I stormed away, but not before hearing the last words she said.

"Excuse me, but your friends were the one who broke my nose!"

"Dad, I don't wanna go. I'm too tired. It's been a rough day," I whined to my Dad, who still wanted me to visit the wicked witch of West, known as my Great Aunt Mildred.
