Coming Home (Gabriel Agreste x Reader)

Chapter 1

My heart was thudding against my heart as if it wanted to run and go to the other side of the world...Again. Step by step I was walking to my family. My heart aches as I regret leaving them for such a foolish reason. Such a selfish reason for leaving just because of a silly fight me and Gabriel had years ago; because of my pride and ego I have abandoned them for years and years when I could have been watching my son grow up in the arms of my lover.

'Maybe I shouldn't be here... What if they're happy without me? What if they have a new person in my place?' thoughts in my head swirled as tears began running down my cheeks thinking about no longer being needed. It was so selfish of me to come back after knowing it would only create pain and anger in the end. Although I just needed to try and maybe even soothe the pain and suffering.

I was slapped back into reality as I came face to face with a gate. Looking down into the piece of paper that has the Agreste address roughly scribbled a few nights ago after heavy and thorough research. Collecting my courage I hesitantly pressed the button that looked like the doorbell with sweaty hands.

A camera popped out giving me a quick spook. In a mechanical voice it spoke.

"Name, why are you here and do you have an appointment?"

Quickly recovering from the shock I replied "Y/N. Y/L/N. I am here to see Gabriel and Adrien Agreste and no I do not have an appointment but I really need to meet him! Please!" I begged. This was my only chance.

There was a long silence till the gate finally opens. I took a quick gulp as I carried on walking following a pathway leading towards a massive house I still remember.

There I was greeted with a lady in a suit eyes blank with no emotion. My heart thudded even faster than it already was- which is shocking. 'Is she the one who took my place? Is that why she's looking at me like that?'

The lady who I am praying is just some sort of servant Gabriel has hired leaded me towards the house opening the door for me.

"Sir Agreste will be in his office now please follow-"the lady was cut off as she spot a figure on the top of the staircase. Looking up in her direction my heart melted.

There stood the man I have and still love with shock. Tears ran down my eyes again as we both stared at each other.

He took a step down as if he was dipping his toe to test the waters. Slowly and steadily he went down till he was in the same level as me.

I let out a genuine smile- a smile I have never done for many years. "Gabriel" I cried out as I walked to him immediately stopping in fear right after that.

He shot an angered glare towards me squishing my heart each second he glared. I let out a whimper. He hates me now.

"Nathalie leave" he said as he took slow steps towards me.

Hearing the door shut, it was as if his walls crashed down as tears raced down his cheeks as well. My heart cried out wanting to wipe and kiss it off but I maintained control unsure of my position.

He ran towards me embracing me with his strong arms I still clearly remembered. The arms that held me when I was in pain, the strong firm chest that guarded his heart and his heart that I loved to listen to at late nights as we embraced each other.

I hugged him back as he tightened his embrace as if I would disappear again. "I've missed you so much" Gabriel cried out.

"I thought I would never see you again! I'm so sorry for the fight we had! Please never leave me again please! My heart has been in pain for these years and would never be soothed by anyone else other than you till now!" Gabriel was on his knees gripping on the fabric of my dress as I felt his tears seep through it. Cupping his cheeks I made him look up. I grinned as I could finally wipe off the tears that stained his beautiful face.

Pulling him up till we were nose to nose he leaned towards me covering my face with kisses starting from the forehead to my nose, cheeks then finally pulled me into a passionate kiss. It was as if I have come back home to my king to where I belong. My home. My home was where my husband and my son were.

Not wanting to end the kiss and wanting to stay like this till there were no more stars in the sky though we had to as we ran out of air. I giggled as we let go taking in a deep breath.

"My queen" Gabriel murmured in my ear as he swooped me up into his arms he spun me round.

"Gabriel! Stop this is so childish" I chuckled as we both fell landing on the soft-expensive looking couch. He pecked me once more giving out a laugh. " I don't care your back here in my arms" he whispered as we stared into each other's eyes.

ADRIEN'S POV

After school I came back home and heard a faint feminine laugh... Odd it's usually silent here. Walking towards the laughter my eyes widen at the view... Mom, running towards her she opened her arms to me and I entered her embrace. She's finally home.

EXTENSION

GABRIEL/HAWKMOTH'S POV

After watching Y/N fall asleep even though the sun was just setting I crept to my secret base. My butterflies awakened flying everywhere; giving out a grin I opened the windows setting free pure white butterflies free into Paris. No more evil doing for this man.
