January 20th 2013.

I unlaced my Figure skates and put my boots back on. "You enjoyed today?" Julien asked me. "Yeah, finally not falling on my arse" I giggled back at him. "Sure" He winked. "Same time next weekend?" He asked. I nodded in agreement as I started lacing my figure skates. Just as I stand up, Julien's phone rings and he steps aside.

"that was my mum, I gotta run" He says pulling me into a quick hug before darting off. I look down at my phone and see its only 2pm, I told Carl that I wouldn't be done until 3pm. Looks like I'm here for a while.

Just as everyone exits the ice, it is announced that the Tigers are playing - I guess its not all bad. I do love a game of Ice hockey. I grab hold of my skates and open the metal gate so i can go up to the seats that over-look the ice rink. I pull off my big jacket and lay it on the back of the seat. I grab my headphones out of my bag and start playing with them in my hands, trying to untangle the mess. I wander around towards the fencing which show the players below.

"Shit... Sorry" I exclaim as my earphones fall through my fingers and land on the guy below me. He manages to catch them in his hand as he chuckles, "Lose something?" He asks. I had no idea there were any Canadian people playing for this team, it was a very obviously strong Canadian accent. I bit my lip as we made awkward eye contact, "Uh... yeah. Sorry about that" I reply slowly. He passes the earphones up and as I am about to turn away he pulls of his helmet and says "I'm Felix" He says, then turning around to reveal his last name and number "Tremblay" he chuckles. "Never heard that last name before" I joke. "and I'm Ellie-Jo" I reply. He reaches out his hand and I shake it lightly.

"You usually watch us or is it a first time thing?" He asked intriguingly. "On and off, started watching more now I guess because I skate on the session before" I reply smiling. "Do you... enjoy watching it?" He looks me up and down and seems wary. "Definitely. Not something I could play of course but to watch, its quite alright" I smirk. He chuckles along with me before replying with "So what are you doing after this game?" He asks. "My step dad is getting me in an hour so I'll probably leave when he's here" I reply. He nods and opens his mouth like he is about to reply before his coach yells "Tremblay!" His coach yells. He turns back to me and shrugs. I giggle and turn around and head back to my seat, the place was pretty empty as this was only a practice and not an actual game so many people didn't bother. To be honest I wouldn't if I could go home now!

Felix makes his way on to the ice and I uncontrollably find myself following his movements and watching everything he does. I was so enticed in the game that I didn't even notice my phone buzzing on the chair next to me. I snap out of it and realise I've missed three calls from Carl. Shit.

"Hello" I answer. "Where have you been! I've just been sat here worrying, I thought..." He yelled and I cut him off "I'm sorry I didn't realise my phone was on silent! I'm coming out now" I plead as I stand up and throw my jacket on. "Just hurry up and get your ass out here" He says angrily. "yes, sorry again" I reply, hanging up and burying my phone deep into my jacket pocket. Just as I reach for my bag I see Felix getting off the ice and gesturing for me to go over. "Sorry I'm in a rush" I say as I jog over to him. "You leavin'?" He asks, looking slightly disappointed. "Yeah my step-dads here, you did great though" I say smiling. "You gonna come to another practice?" He asks. I nod. "I'll be here next weekend". "Theres an actual game on Wednesday if you could come to that? Could meet you a few hours before that" He asks. "Maybe, what time?" I ask. "Meet at 4?". "If I can get out of class early then yeah" I say. "I really have to go!". I turn and start sprinting towards the stairs. I've made carl wait so long, he's going to be so mad!

I pull open the door and get ready for the row that is about to occur. Carl was sat there with his arms folded "Where were you?". "I was watching the hockey. I'm really sorry" I pleaded. He slightly grunted and turned his car engine on. Whew.
