16th February 2013.

Once again I was on my way to the ice rink to meet with Julien. Julien was a 6 foot 2, tanned, dark haired, very handsome guy. Unfortunately for me, he isn't into girls.

I ran over to meet him at the front door when he pulls me into a hug. "I invited my friend" he blurts out. "OK?" I say giggling as we pull away. "I think you'll really like him" Julien explains, "Wait, you invited him... for me?" I ask. He nods and bites his lip "He's so good looking and the kindest guy ever" He says. "I don't know Julien, I'm really not feeling getting to know any guys any time soon". As I finish my sentence he spins me around "He's here".

Wow... He isn't kidding.

He came over and smiled sweetly, "Hi". "Ellie, this is Alex. Alex, this is Ellie" Julien says while smirking. "Hi, you alright?" I ask blushing slightly at the awkward moment. "I'm not too bad, first time skating, so slightly nervous" he explains. "You'll get the hang of it I'm sure" I explain as we make our way inside.

Alex is.. something else. He's about 6 foot 4, broad and muscular, light brown hair that's shaved at the sides and long on top. He has the biggest, brightest blue eyes I've ever seen and a dazzling smile.

We begin skating round, Alex between me and Julien holding on to us or the side of the rink. "Wow, you are bad" I say while belly laughing as he falls on his ass. "Hey! I'm trying" he says laughing with us while attempting to get up. "I don't doubt that" Julien laughs. After a good 30 minutes of us skating, Alex decides he wants a break so we all get off the ice and get some chips. "So, where did you two meet?" I ask Julien and Alex as we sat down with our food. "Oh, we have a class together and we end up partnered up a lot" Alex says. "Yeah, we got on straight away" Julien adds, I nod and lift an eyebrow. "Not like that, I'm not into guys, no offence bud" Alex says quickly. I giggle slightly and nod while Julien acts offended.

"I'm going to go and have another half hour on the ice before my mum gets here" Julien says, getting up and leaving. I look up at him as he passes behind Alex and he winks while mouthing 'go for it'. Honestly...

"So how do you know Julien" Alex asks while stuffing his face with chips. "We met in school, pretty boring to be honest" I reply. "He always talks about you" Alex adds quickly. "Really?" I question, I never thought he would. "Oh yeah, by the sounds of it, you're a stand up girl" He says smiling. I shrug and smirk "What can I say".

"So tell me more about yourself, what are your hobbies, what do you do at university, boyfriend?" he asks, treading carefully at the end and watching my reaction. "Well, I pretty much just skate and watch ice hockey games. I do Criminology at university and, no boyfriend unfortunately. Gave up on that" I say laughing at the end. "Interesting" He says. I nod and laugh.

Time flies by before Julien is leaving, he takes his bag and pulls me into a hug before running up the stairs. "Are you going too?" Alex asks. I look at my watch "I still have another hour before my step-dad picks me up, so I'll probably watch hockey. Are you?". "My ride comes in 30 minutes so I guess I could stick around" He teases.

We both make our way up into the stands, by this point I hadn't even thought about Felix turning up. But now I was getting worried, but why?

I start looking round and getting antsy as the players make their way onto the ice. Felix probably isn't even playing, he said last week he had an injured ankle. 30 minutes go by and Alex gets up. "My ride's here" He says looking disappointed. "Oh OK. Well hopefully we will see each other soon" I say and get up with him. I walk him to the door at the top and he turns to me. "Do you, maybe, want to go get dinner some day this week?" He asks. I blush and giggle "Uh, yeah definitely" I say. He pulls me into a tight hug before turning to leave. "Cya, Oh, thanks bro" he says waving at me and then talking to the guy holding the door open for him... who just so happens to be Felix. Fuck. I stare at Felix for a second while he stares back. "A date then huh" he says sadly. "My friend introduced us, I thought I'd give it a chance" I say feeling awfully guilty. "Well, I hope it goes well" He says and pushes past me.

What do I do now? Me and Felix barley know each other and we met up once on purpose...

We spend the rest of the 30 minutes at opposite sides of the seating area, not making any contact.
