Chapter 1. The beginning

LIFE IS TOUGHER THEN YOU THINK

Alyssa's pov

I'm Alyssa. I'm 15. My best friend Ely is also my boyfriend. I have blond hair that goes down to my bum. My eyes are a hazel color. But turn blue in the summer. I have a tattoo on my left back shoulder. It's of a snake wrapped around an arrow. I am actually really short. I go to Graves County. (Yes Kentucky) I am supposed to go on tour. It's called the Magcon tour. It's a YouTube\vine tour. I'm going with my YouTube partner, aka Ely. We have been doing YouTube for two years. Well that's enough about me. It's reality time.

"Aly. Wait up baby girl." Ely yelled from the end of the hall. Ely is tall. He has dark brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. He's a total sweetheart. To me anyways. He always gets in trouble in class. "Aly. Hello." He said laughing while snapping his fingers in my face. "Sorry. I was just thinking." I said. "What about?" He asked. "Things. Like what would happen if we crashed on the tour? What if I get hurt?" I asked. "Don't worry babe. I'm always gonna be here for you. I love you. More then you think." He said. I smiled and nodded. "Come here." He said then pulled me into a hug in the middle of the hall. "Awww. Cute couple alert." People said. I giggled. "Come on babe. Let's get to my brothers car before he murders us." He laughs and we walk to his brothers car. I get in the back of the car and so does Ely. "Damn y'all take forever." Tyler said I giggled and Ely laughed. "Can you take us to McDonald's?" Ely asked. Tyler nodded and drove out of the school parking lot.

"Look y'all. It's Aly the trader." Kade said walking towards mine and Ely's table. "Don't you dare Kade. Get the hell away from me and my girl. Now." Ely said. That's when Jayden walked over. He leaned on our table and started speaking. "Alyssa. Listen. Ok I'm sorry about Kade. He's just mad you moved to Graves a few years ago. He really liked you. He was head over heels for ya. He's pissed you have a boyfriend. He won't stop talkin bout ya. It's annoying. But I'm sorry. I didn't want him to say anything so we're gonna leave. See ya lil girl. Your like a sis." He said. He started walking away but I got up and gave him a hug. I mean he's the brother I never had. He used to be my best friend up until I moved. "Bye bubs." That was his nickname. He smiled and left. I walked back over to Ely who had blood coming from his nose and a black eye. I gasped. "What the hell happened to you?" I whisperyelled at him. "Blake Robertson." He said. I ran to the counter to get napkins then went and got some of them wet. I walked back to Ely and cleaned up his nose. I soon got the blood to stop and sighed. "Is there anything else I can do?" I asked. "Kiss me?" He asked and smiled. "Sure." I said and leaned in and kissed his lips. He smiled into the kiss. After a few more seconds I pulled away. "Your an amazing kisser Babygirl." He said. I blushed. We soon finished our food and left. "Today was a rough day. I hope tomorrow's better." I smiled.

It's finally Friday. And we leave tomorrow for tour. Yay. I got up and picked out today's outfit. I chose a Graves County crop top, skinny jeans, a jock jacket, boots and my "Eagle for life" beanie. I went to the bathroom to change and applied my necessities and make up. "Honey. Ely here!" My mother yelled up the stairs. I walked back to my room to grab my phone, wallet, and bag. I walked downstairs and hugged Ely from behind. He laughed and finished his conversation with my dad. "Bye mom. Bye dad. Bye TyTy." I said. TyTy waved with his small hand and he giggled. He's so cute. "Let's go." I said to Ely. He grabbed my hand and started walking to school. "Do we have to go to school today?" Ely asked. I shook my head no. "Where do you wanna go?" He asked. "Just walking around." I said. He nodded and headed towards town.

•one hour later•

Me and Ely were still walking after we had taken a stop at Starbucks. When all of a sudden I was pulled into an alley.  "Ely! Help!" I screamed. He looked in my direction but couldn't see down the alley. He stopped and fell to his knees. "Please. Let me go. I won't tell anybody." I said softly. He laughed and pushed me down. "Not how it works sweetie." He said. "Then how does it work?" I asked. He pulled me up and smashed his lips onto mine. I didn't kiss back. He pulled away and smirked. "Go. Now. Before I change my mind." He said mad. I ran to Ely and hugged him. He hugged back. "I'm sorry Ely. He kissed me and hit me. I tried to pull away." I sobbed. He just whispered sweet nothings in my ear and said its ok. Kade walked out and towards us. He grabbed me and held me against him. He then pulled a gun out and held it to my head. "Kade. Please don't. You can be better then this. You and me both know it. Do you seriously want to kill you've liked for years and years? What did she do to you? This doesn't have to end the way you want it to." Ely said. "Kade. Listen to him. Alyssa doesn't need to die. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. Please. Just listen to him." A little middle school girl said. Kade let me go and I fell breathing hard. I started coughing and the girl walked over to me. "Are you ok? Do you need to go to the hospital?" She asked. I couldn't speak. Ely picked me up and took me to the hospital. The girl came with. I didn't mind. "Sweetie. Just breath. Your gonna be just fine. Your just having an asthma attack." The lady at the desk said while they put me on a gurney.

•3 hours later•

"Alyssa. Your okay!" Tyler (Ely's brother) said. I smiled. I am now at home and ok. I get up and hug him. "We're all going out to dinner tonight. Both of our families. So get dressed. Oh and it's gonna be fancy." He said. I nodded and went up to my room. Ely was in the kitchen. Of course. I got to my room and walked to my closet. I looked at all my clothes. I finally decided on a dress that was white with a black bow that goes around my waist as a belt. I grabbed my cowgirl boots and walked out of my closet. I changed in my room and put on my shoes. I walked to the bathroom and did two small braids and pulled them back and curled the rest of my hair. I did makeup and I looked in the mirror. I actually looked pretty for once. I walked downstairs after I grabbed my phone and everyone else was already down there. "Alyssa, you look amazing." Ely said. I smiled and hugged him. "Alyssa, Babygirl you look beautiful as always." Papa said. I smiled. "Thanks papa. You do too. Everyone else does too." I said. We all left and went to this fancy place. I sat between Ely and Tyler. Mom sat across from me and dad sat across from Ely. Ely's parents sat at either end of the table. (If that makes any sense lol). And my little brother sat on the other side of momma.  

•after dinner•

"Alyssa, wanna go for a walk?" Y asked. I nodded and we walked to the park. This park has only trees and a black concrete path to walk along. I love it. And I'm gonna miss it. Ely wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side and sat on a park bench. I sat in his lap. "I'm gonna miss going to this park on the weekends." Ely whispered. "I can't believe we're gonna be on tour for two years. With no breaks." I whispered back. "We can make it the best two years ever." He whispered. I nodded and stood up. He stood up too and we walked back to our houses. Once I got home I saw my ex, Caleb. "What are you doing here Caleb?" I said. "I came here to see my girlfriend. And to prove she's mine." He said and pulled me to his car. "Let me go." I spoke. "Not how it works darling." He said. He pushed me into his car and drove to the beach. If he's planning on having sex then he can think of a different plan. "If you let me walk without you touching then I won't run away." I lied. He accepted and we walked. When he turned his back on me I made a hrain for it. I ran and ran till I got to Ely's house. I knocked on the door and his mom answered. I guess I was crying cause she pulled me into a hug. "Darling what happened?" She asked. "He's back. He's back and he tried raping me." I sobbed. Sh pulled me into the house and to the guest room. "I'm gonna call your mother and tell her that your staying here and I'm sending Tyler to get your bags, ok?" She said. I nodded. She left and went back downstairs. I walked to Ely's room and knocked on the door. "Come in." He said. I walked in and he was playing a game with Tyler. "Hey Tyler can you take me to get my bags for tomorrow?" I asked. Still crying. He nodded and walked over to me. "Let's go." He said and we walked downstairs and out to his car.

•one hour later•

Me and Ely were sitting in his room. He was sitting on the floor and I was sitting next to him. "Alyssa?" He asked. I looked at him. "I think your perfect. Everyone else may notice your flaws but I don't. Never have and I never will." He said and stood up. I smiled and stood up so I could hug him. He later me down on the bed and laid beside me. He looked me in the eyes. He started leaning in and so did I.
