05. Additional Parts

(A/N - This is a short chapter...so I'll be posting Chapter 6 as well.  This chapter gets into the medical explanation of it all.  Hopefully I did a good enough job explaining how I think it could ever be possible for a male to get pregnant...it's all still really far fetched...but hey it's a fictional story...so it can be a little far fetched!!  Anyway.....Enjoy, darlings!!!)

“Will someone please tell me what is going on?  Do I have a tumor or something?  Please someone explain.”  I plead while grabbing onto my dad’s shirt.

“Niall, you don’t have a tumor, but I need to speak to Dr. Jones outside for a minute and then I will come back in and explain everything, ok.”

“Fine” I say frustrated.

“Maura, dear.  Why don’t you join us.”  He says and leads my mum out of the room.

All that I am thinking when they leave is that they are trying to think of a gentle way to tell me that I have some sort of cancer.  Why the hell is this happening to me?

After what seemed like forever, but was probably only twenty minutes, my parents returned.  I sat up in my bed, my stomach feeling a little better.  My parents took seats next to my bed and my mum took hold of my hand.  My dad dropped his head and sighed.  He lifted his head back up and looked me directly in the eyes and began to speak my fate.

“So the CAT scan showed that you had some….ummm additional parts in your anatomy.”

“What do you mean……additional parts?”

“You actually have some female parts in you.”

“Wh-what” I choke out.

“Yes.  You have one very tiny ovary connected to a short fallopian tube which is then connected to a small uterus.”

“I have a fucking uterus!”

“Niall.   Language!” my mum says and slaps my hand.

“Mum, I have a freaking uterus.  I think I am allowed some profanity here!” I say and my dad continues.

“Anyway, your……um…the fallopian tube grew attached to your urethra and they noticed a small hole between the two.”

“Meaning what?  You gotta translate it for me dad.”

“Ok.  Your urethra is basically what is connected to your bladder and it is what your pee comes out of.  Anyway you have a microscopic hole in the urethra at the point where it is attached to the fallopian tube.  The uterus is right next to your bladder.”

“Ok…how did it get there?” I asked.
