Davenport Homestead, March 1752.

I jumped from the railing of the wooden ship, Falcon. The crew laughed at my childish act. Feeling a bit of playful, I turn around and put stick my tongue out. "Thanks old man!" I slunged my bag over my shoulder bedore looking out to the Homestead, the Assassin's Home.

I was greeted by fellow brothers and sisters of the Creed. It was a long journey, travelling from Asia, Malaya, China and back to home. I help the Asian Brotherhood in the dire circumstances. Their weaponry are lower than ours.

I saw Mentor, he was hugging someone and that someone is none other than Adewale. I picked up my pace and did a suprise hug from behind to Ade. Ade chuckled at the sudden hug. "Welcome back, swallow. How was the trip to Asia?"

I let go of Ade and gave Achilles a side hug. "Just Templars and fightning and jumping and swimming and ships everywhere." I answered Ade as he gave me a warm smile.

"Adewale," Achilles greeted Ade. "How go things in the West Indies?" I noticed a grim look on Ade's face.

"Very poorly, I'm afraid." Ade reply. He has something to discuss with Achilles.

"Your countance tells me we should discuss this." Achilles just say what my mind had said. "Come." He guide Ade and I went to the porch.

"What happen, Ade?" I asked. He furrowed his eyebrows. "It was terrible. The ground shook and the ocean waves crashes over Port-au-Prince." Ade explained as we all sit at the chair. Except me, I sat at the railings.

"How many were lost?" Achilles inquired.

"Thousands." Ade answered. I can see in his eyes, the destruction of Port-au-Prince. "No family was left untouched."

"I hate to bring up practical matters at a time like this, but did Mackandal's man conplete his task before the earthquake hit?"

"I cannot know. Vendredi has not been found. He was a strong Maroon, one of Mackandal's best students."

"Such a shame. So we cannot know if he found the site."

"Indeed. But if there was a temple under the waves, I doubt it is till standing."

"And the artifacts that showed the way?" I piped in.

"Stolen. The Templars broke in during the chaos." Ade added. "They seized the Manuscript and Percursor box. I gave chase on the sea, but lost their trail when they reached New York."

"We must consider what to do next." Achilles said. He took a glance at me, signalling my presence to leave them. I hopped off while vaulting over the rail. I landed softly at the grass. I went to Chevalier and he gave me a wave.

I wave back before going to climb the trees with the rookies. "Are ya' ready?"

The rookies gave me a smirk. "And go!"

I climbed the tree and run on top of the branches and leaped from one branch to another. The leaping reapted until I was at the edge. I jumped from the branch. While I was in mid air, I swing a rope hook to another branch and I landed to the ground. I tore the flag from the stand and wave it.

The rookies groan in defeat. Chevalier walked towards me. "I wonder how did you get the highest rank while the behavior of a child."

"Its called blood, sweat and commitment to the Brotherhood, Louis." I pat his back and saw Ade and went to his side.

"How is China and its neighbours? I must know, swallow. There is something that you are hiding." Ade placed a hand at my shoulder. I sighed.

"The British has control Asia. From what I've learn, the Natives of the island called Borneo had discovered an artifact. It was different that any artifacts." I explained, trying to remember on that day.

"I managed to befriend with them and see the artifact. It was beautiful, Ade. The artifact was not a weapon nor a map, it was a child."

"A child? How?"

"I'm not sure. The child understood my language and the Natives. He became the Chieftan of them. I was given a role to protect him."

"And did you protect the child?"

"Yes, Ade. I did." I clenched my fist.

"Something went wrong, am I right?" I nodded my head. "Tell me, swallow."

"I didn't notice that one of the Native was a Templar. He was following us wherever we go. Everything went into flames. British troops attacked their homes. I try... I try to fight the Templar but I was too late."

Ade didn't say anything but hug me. I quietly cried. "His scream, I remember as the clear of day..." I continued. Ade shush me.

"Remember Swallow, it wasn't your fault that the child died, but you did your very best to protect him." I quickly wiped away the flowing tears.

"Your right, Ade." I leaned back and take out a small bottle of rum. "Let rum drown my sorrows." I took a big gulp of the bitter liquid.

"That's the bird I knew that flew through the skies in the Carribean night." Ade smiled.

"Now you sound like Kenway." Ade and I continue to chat but the chat ended when Ade approach Achilles.

"My ship awaits, Achilles." Achilles turn around to face his old friend while I face with a new face. "The people of Haiti will make good use of your supplies." Achilles and Ade did a quick handshake. "I trust you will receive what has been lost."

"Lost?" Said the new man who have an accent that I don't remember.

"The Templars stole two precious artifacts." Achilles explained to said man. "A manuscript of anciet wisdom and a box that allows one to understand its language."

"I have tracked the Templars as far as this coast, but I fear the rest is up you, my friend." Ade said.

"Farewell, Adewale." They did another of their friendship handshake. I gave a hug to Ade just one more time, before he is lost at sea.

"Whoever controls the artifacts can access Precursor sites of power." Achilles motion the new man and I to walk. "We must recover them or none are safe." For a short while. Achilles bid his farewell to the both of us.

"Who might you be?" The new man introduce himself. "I am Shay Cormac."

"Me?" I crossed my arms and began to think. A thought appeared and it was a good idea. "How about a race, up in the trees. You cannot touch the ground or else you'll lose. If you win, you'll get my name. The finish line is at the Eagle's nest. How does that sound, Shay?"

"Agreed, when do we start." Shay agreed to me terms and we shook our hands to start the race.

"Right..." I took out my rope and make a quick dash to a nearby branch. "NOW!"

I swing the rope to the branch and leap to a closed branch. I climb it and going up to the high trees. I took a deep breath before making a leap of faith, plus I swing my rope to the other branches. I took a quick glance over my shoulder. Shay was catching up, fast.

I quickly jumped from the branch with one jump. I saw the Eagle leaving its nest. I climbed the tree and reached the top. I use my rope while quickly added a sharp knife at the end. I swing the rope a few times before letting it go. It didn't miss the edge but I jump forward and climb the rock wall.

I ignored the pain from my fingers as I scaled the wall. I went to the nest and sat on it, careful of the eggs.

"You are fast." Shay was at the trees. High and watching me. "You win."

"Well, thats why they call me Swallow, Shay." I stood up, dusting away the dust from my robes. "Let's head back. I need to treat my fingers. They are..." I looked at them and then look at Shay, his reaction was shocked. "...bleeding."

"Right you are Swallow, but how about a race to the Homestead?" Shay smirked.

"I accept your challenge, Shay." I jumped from the edge of the nest and did a leap of faith. I quickly took my speed and run between the high skies of the trees.

This time, let see who win this race, Shay.
