It's been 4 years now since I visited the dentist. The awful memories of sharp metal tools and pointy needles still linger in my head. The sound of the rubber gloves and the way the dentist hides behind the face mask still haunts me today. I've never liked the dentist, since I was a little girl. I'm now 19 and can't stand the thought of even going near the place.
I've recently moved away from my parents home and am now living on my own in a small terraced house on a noisy town street. It's not the greatest place to be but it's what I call home. I never had a good relationship with my parents, and they never seemed to like me. Perhaps that's the reason I use to visit the most horrible dentist there must have ever been. Dr Hershley. Even his name sends shivers down my spine.
I feel as if he enjoyed stabbing gums with the sharp metal tools and found pleasure in jabbing pointy needles into the sides of people's mouths. I used to leave the room with blood gushing from my gums. He never even gave me a tissue to clean myself up! He was the most horrible man ever.
