I open the door and see Maria. "Maria?" I ask. "Hey Triston." She says. "What are you doing here?" I ask. "Listen I'm sorry I cheated, I was in a state in my life that was bad." She paused for a second. "I was hoping you could take me back?" She said with a smile. "I I'm sorry Maria, but I just can't." I say. I was about to close the door when she leaned in and kissed me. I pushed her off and closed the door.
Kait pov.
I walk over to Tristons because I got bored. From the porch I saw a girl on the steps talking to him. I was watching and then...my heart broke.
I felt hot tears build and run home. I slam my door and run to the bathroom. I pull out my old friend. My blade. "I KNEW IT!" I scream at my reflection. I cut for everything. Triston not liking me, my dad, this stupid new school, ect. I end up with 9 cuts on my wrist.
I clean up and just sit there on the floor. I get a text. "Hey you ready?" From BbBoy💟. I just stare at the text. I cry even harder. I dry my tears and put on a jacket to hide the cuts. I walk down stairs and to Tristons. I hesitate to knock. But before I can he opens the door. I give him a fake smile and we go get in the car.
"So you ready to go to the mall?" He ask. "I guess." I say in a low voice. We pull in the parking lot and go in. I look at some stuff not really wanting to be there. I just wanna go home and ignore him. "Hey you okay you look a little upset." He asked. "Yeah I just dontfeel good." I lied. "Oh I'll take you home." He says. We go back to the car and I just stare out the window. I thought he liked me, I guess he doesn't. Who am I kidding? Who would ever like me?
I just look at him. He noticed and smiled at me I move a peace of hair behind my ear and look down. Little did I know my sleeve went down. He saw. "What's that?" He asked looking at me. "Nothing." I say. He picks up my hand by my wrist and I yelp in pain.
We pull in my driveway and he looks at me with hurt in his eyes. "Please tell me you don't." He says. I just sit there silent. " Why?" He asked. "Don't play dumb Triston, you might no why" I say. " No I don't." He said. "Well you probably don't care." I say. "Yes I do!" He said. "Why would you?" I yell. "Because I-i." He started before I cut him off "thats what I thought." I say getting out the car.
I run to my room and look out my window. I see him in his backyard upset. I go to my phone and text him "why do u care?" I get a text "Meet me in the Backyard." He says. I go down there and hes there. He has a arm behind his back. "What?" I asked. He pulls out his arm and hands me a dozen Roses. "I care because I like you Kait." He says. I stand there holding back tears. "Triston I like you to." When I say that his eyes his eyes light up like Christmas lights. He then blushes.
We stand there just looking in each other eyes until he leans in. I'm kissing Triston omg. "Just promise me you won't cut anymore." He says. "I promise because you are now My Superman."
