Kuro was with Jaken looking for Sesshomaru. They ran into Inuyasha and his friends while looking for Tōtōsai. After the fight between Sesshomaru and Inuyasha they hopped on Ah-Un and went to go look for Sesshomaru. "Jaken. Did you find him yet?" Kuro asked again. Jaken growled. "I already told you no!" Jaken yelled. Kuro crossed her arms and gave Jaken 'the look'. "Excuse me. I know you did not just yell at me. Wait till my big brother hears about this." Kuro said.
Jaken was about to snap at Kuro but Kuro stopped him. "I have brothers scent. Which means it my turn to take the reins." Kuro stated and got in front of Jaken and took the reins. They landed in a patch and Kuro jumped off. "I'm gonna follow his scent. You stay here Ah-Un. You too, Jaken." Kuro said and ran off before Jaken could protest. After running a few yards she saw Sesshomaru and smiled. "Big brother! I found you!" Kuro exclaimed.
Sesshomaru looked at her. "Kuro. Where is Jaken? Shouldn't he be with you?" Sesshomaru asked. "Well I told him to stay with Ah-Un." Kuro said. Sesshomaru got up and followed Kuro back to Ah-Un and Jaken. When they got closer to where Jaken and Ah-Un were they heard Jaken yelling something that didn't sound english to Kuro. Sesshomaru picked up a rock and threw it at Jaken which hit him in the head and knocked him off of Ah-Un. "Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken exclaimed when he turned around.
Jaken then started asking Sesshomaru if he was testing the Tessaiga on him when Kuro and Sesshomaru caught the scent of blood and wolves. They went toward the event and found a little girl with teeth marks laying dead in the forest. "It looks like she was mailed my wolves. Look at the teeth marks. She's a goner for sure." Jaken said. 'Wow. That's something you should say in front of a little girl.' Kuro thought. She looked up at Sesshomaru and saw him pull out Tessaiga. "I might just test it one more time." He said. He then slashes the air over the girl and kneeled down toward her.
Kuro had a look of curiosity when the girl groaned and opened her eyes. Jaken, however, started freaking out. Sesshomaru stood up and started walking away leaving Kuro, the girl, and Jaken to stand there. After awhile of Jaken complaining about whatever he was complaining about the girl started following Sesshomaru while Kuro followed the girl smiling. Jaken chased after them once he noticed that they had started walking off.
