Lauren Jauregui tossed her hair into a messy bun before fishing out a crisp twenty dollar bill from the pocket of a pair of jeans laying around somewhere in her cluttered room.
From there she made sure to leave her room extra quietly all while clad in her favorite pair of pajamas and her mothers car keys looped around her index finger.
Lauren made a mental checklist as she entered the car. She had everything she needed, a flashlight, a blanket, twenty dollars, and herself.
Making her way to Camila's house, Lauren went over and over all the plans she had for Camila before remembering that she forgot to advise Camila to stay in her pajamas.
[lolo - 3:12] OKAY I FORGOT BUT DONT CHANGE OUT YOUR PAJAMAS
Maybe texting while driving wasn't the safest thing she could do but what was there to go wrong? It was three in the goddamn morning and no person (but herself, of course) would be crazy enough to leave the safety of their home at these hours.
But again, Lauren wasn't the average person. She had her quirks and what she had planned was just a minor example of them.
It didn't take Camila long to text back, it felt like seconds before the dark haired girl felt her phone vibrate against her lap.
[camz - 3:13] good cause i wasn't planning on changing
[Lolo - 3:13] i would've fought you if you did
[camz - 3:13] sounds terrifying
Lauren smiled gently down at her phone, the younger girls banter never failed to elicit a grin from the light pink smile. It was almost as if it was instinctual.
It was only a few minutes after when Lauren finally reached Camila's home in her mother's grey SUV. All the lights were off, even the one Lauren knew belonged to Camila's room.
[lolo - 3:16] your lights are all off.... you better now have fallen back asleep
[camz - 3:16] im not don't get your knickers in a twist
Lauren laughed gently, who in hell still says knickers?
[lolo - 3:16] is that even an actual word
A knock on the window next to Lauren's seat broke the driver out of her thoughts and brought her attention away from her phone only to see a half awake Camila Cabello in bright blue pajamas.
Lauren rolled down the window and laughed at the other girls half-closed eyes.
"See, I'm awake!" She slurred tiredly.
"Barely." Lauren giggled. "Get in, sleepy head"
Camila's lips puckered as she wiped her eyes with the back of her hands. In that moment, Lauren's heart swelled and she swore that that was the cutest thing she had ever seen.
Camila backed off away from Lauren's window and went around the front of the car. Lauren smirked as she thought of the perfect idea of waking up Camila. The girl in the drivers seat waited for the other to walk in front of the car before pressing on the horn as hard as she could.
A small squeak came from the girl before both hands shot up to her ears. When the sound finally stopped, Camila didn't hesitate on giving Lauren the finger.
"I hate you." Camila said as she stepped into the car and got herself comfortable. "I hope everyone on my block wakes up and calls the cops on you."
"Why, thank you, m'lady." Lauren sarcastically responded with the worst British accent possible.
Lauren began to drive them to their secret destination which was only a few blocks away onto the main road.
