I continue to cry non-stop curled up on my hotel bed.
"Mitchie please eat something." Kirstie calls to me, I just ignore her. She comes up to me and hugs me,
"She will come back, one day we will see her again." She comforts me,
"I just wish i could of been a better father." I say for the first time since she left. Suddenly our phone rings and Avi picks it up.
"Uhhu, yeah, yes. Ok, yeah, what! Coming!" He ends the call and grabs his car keys, all of us follow and get in the car. Avi doesn't tell us anything, we drive into the bush and park the car. Avi walks towards a large house whilst everyone still following and knocks on the door.
"Your here please come in. You sure you want to do this?" A young lady asks, Avi nods and enters. Inside in the lounge room all these strangers surround the lounge. When I see who's on the lounge I cry. Danice. All the strangers but that girl that greeted us, an old man and a boy same age as Danice stay.
"Avi did you tell them?" The man asks, Avi shakes his head.
"Danice is being hunted by vampires and Avi has offered to help, show them." Avi goes missing but a wolf is now in the room. Avi is a werewolf?
"You guys don"t need to help but if you want to save her you need to-" Avi pauses,
"Change. Im in." Kevin states seriously, Kirstie nods and Scott agrees. I walk up to Danice and play with her hair,
"If it saves our daughter I will too." I say standing up. Everyone in the room walks downstairs into a basement where us 4 humans are apparently going to 'change'. Avi scratches Kirstie's arm while that boy scratches Scott's, the girl scratches Kevin and that old man scratches mine. My whole body aches in pain but I don't scream. The pain slowly goes away until I feel no pain, i get up and look around. The others are screaming except Kirstie who is missing. I go up the stairs and look around, no one inside. I look out a window and all the strangers with 2 wolves fighting, the wolves change back to humans to see Avi and Kirstie. I walk outside and everyone looks towards me,
"Your awake," Avi starts,
"Mitchie!" Kirstie runs to me and hugs me, we look into each others eyes and her eyes sparkle a pretty diamond blue.
"Avi his eyes flash silver." She says worriedly, Avi and the old man come over and look at my eyes.
"You are the- master you know what that means." The old man nods.
"My time is coming. Mitch come with me." I walk into the forest with the man.
"Whats happening, what do you mean by your time is coming?" I ask confused and slightly angry.
"I know its hard as a new born but with every pack there is a leader and when you know your time has come as leader someone else takes over. All leaders of packs have silver eyes." My eyes widen.
"I know you have a human life but Im asking you, will you be this packs leader?" I just freeze, so much responsibility. "Can I think about it?" He nods. We walk back and see that Kevin and Scott are up and at it.
"All wolves huddle." The man says, they bunch up while I stand next to the man. The other 3 new borns stand beside me,
"Welcome our new borns!" Everyone is discussing a plan for a party tonight to celebrate out change when someone walks through the back door outside. Danice. She stares at the band shocked then looks at Avi. They run to each other and she leaps into his arms,
"Long time since we could do this brother." She mutters, thats when I realise. Thats why they were so close. 2 siblings hiding their identities to get along with humans. Adorable I say.
"Avi you have something to tell us?" I sassily ask placing my hands on my hips. He smirks then says,
"Everyone, Danice is my sister." Danice stumbled back scared,
"Who was that other guy?" She asks, out of instincts I tale her hand and see another guy hugging saying he was her brother. I back up and the old man comes up to me,
"You have chosen young one." I nod.
