~Your POV~

It was just a normal day. My new schedule? Homeroom-Avoid Rinto; Physical Ed.- Workout with Len and Rin; Science- Watch as Mikuo screams higher than Miku when he accidentally spills Paradichlorobenzene on his uniform shirt; Lunch- Watch as Meiko nearly kills Meito; English- Laugh at Gumo for turning in Gumi's Yaoi fanfiction instead of his homework; Dismissal- Walk back home with Rin and Len.
Well, Homeroom wasn't as expected. Kamui-Sensei presented us to our new classmates, Rei and Rui Kagene. The new kids looked like black-haired versions of Rin and Len- except Len was obviously cuter- and Rui wore a bow similar to Rin's. Their golden colored eyes darted around the room, and rested on the Kagamines.
"Class, we have two new students here. Rui, Rei, present yourselves," Gakupo said, in his usual tone.
"Sup class," Rei said, and he nudged Rui.
"I'm Rui, and my brother is an annoying prick," Rui said. Gakupo looked mad and was about to scold Rui for calling someone a 'prick' in front of him during class, but the bell rang and she dashed out of the room. Once I left the room with Len holding my hand, Rei approached me and glared at Len.
"Oh, hi Rei!" I say, still walking.
"Did you come from the darkness? Because I want you as my shadow," Rei said, using a really bad pick up line. Len just let go of my hand and walked in front of me, staring at Rei's eyes.
"Fuck off, Kagene. (Y/n) is taken," Len spat. Rei sighed, a smirk creeping up on his face.

~Len's POV~
Rui was right, he was an annoying piece of horse shit! Can't he get the hint (y/n) is my girlfriend?!
"Fuck off and get a life, dipshit," I repeated myself.
"Who is the lucky boy? Ryuto? Taito?" AGH! He really is getting on my nerves! "It's me, you ignorant bitch," I replied, a tang of anger on my voice. I felt (y/n)'s (e/c) eyes staring at me, and I was growing angry as every second passed by. A minute passed, Rei looked back at (y/n), smiled and left. "Come on, (nickname), lets get to Art Class," I muttered and she nodded.

~Rei's POV~
Len acted tough back there when the hot girl was looking at him. How cute. Next class is art class, so I better get going. I met Rui in the way to class, so that must be good. Or not.
"Where were you, dipshit?" She asked me with the usual insults. I rolled my eyes. "I was socializing with a chick, that is what I was doing until Kagamine came up with a bunch of 'She's my girlfriend' nonsense shit," I told her. But I guess she didn't even care, because she grunted and walked faster.

~Rin's POV~
I smile when I see Len and (y/n) come into class; about time they come, the table seemed pretty lonely only with me and the Megpoid siblings! Wait, is that the Kagenes behind them?!
"Miss Zatsune, may I go to the bathroom?" I say as my hand shot up in the air.
"Of course, Ms. Kagamine!" she said kindly. I ran faster than Sonic on steroids and dragged (y/n) by her wrist. When I approach the bathroom, I lock the stall door behind me.

"You know who that pair of bitches are?!" I gasp for air.

"Yeah, they're the Kagenes. The guy used a really bad pick up line on me," (y/n) replied.

"No! They are a pair of Vocaloid wannabes!" I pant. She just stared at me blankly, and we hear steps outside the stall door. "Rin? (y/n)?" I hear Rui call out. Oh shit she came to look for us! I think about a cover up so she doesn't know its me.

"Kagamine Rin is not here, sweetie!" I say in my best Yowane Naruko impression. She seemed to have fallen for it when she replied with an "Alright, thanks". Pitchloids can be stupid at times, no matter how smart they are, hehe.

Once its all clear, we continue our conversation. "If a Pitchloid ends up being more popular than the original Voicebank, it may be the end of the Voicebank and the original would be expelled, and it may not survive alone," I went on. Her face went pale as she thought about it. "So if the Kagenes grow more popular, does that mean-"

"Yes, it means the end for both me and Len"

~Len's POV~

It's been 10 minutes already! Does Rin have diarrhea or something?! I look back at Meito, Oliver, Piko and Gumi. They have been awfully quiet as well as myself. I wonder what's going on...
Wait, now I understand it all! Rei Kagene has been trying to grow popular so that we disappear and they are the only Crypton twins standing... But if a Pitchloid grows in popularity, doesn't that mean they disappear as well, because the original voice isn't alive? What would happen if we vanish? What would be of Vocaloid if we perish as well? Most importantly...

What would happen to (y/n) if I'm gone?

Life is now a popularity contest as well...

((This chapter was one of the 20 ideas that I still need to put into the story T^T But nonetheless, I finished the whole chapter in.... two days! So proud... So to summarize, the Kagamines realize they have to stay popular enough so that they don't die, and Rei is after Reader-chan so his popularities grow and tensions with Len grow even higher... Wow, everyone seems to like Reader-chan, huh?))
