Keeping it Together

August P.O.V.

~After the phone call with Aisha, I automatically regretted what I said. I knew damn well that the next day I was gonna wanna talk to her! I got out of bed, grabbed the keys off the dresser, and went out to the car. I got in my white Range Rover and drove over to my mama house. She was the only one I can go to when I need some advice. I pulled up in the driveway and got out. I knocked on the door and waited on her.

Mama: Hey baby!

August: Moms I needa talk to you...

Mama: (lets him in) Whats wrong August?

August: (sits on couch) well there was this girl I was talking to named Aisha...we doing good but her goddad who is also my manager told her some things about me and when I went to go talk to them, I guess I handled it kind of inappropriately -gets cut off

Momma: I know you ain't him!? I taught you how to handle yo problems better!

August: No mama damn!! Calm down and lemme finish! I just went down there and we argued and yes Aisha was there but then she took his side over mine! I was taking up for us!!

Momma: (puts her hand on his shoulder) August that's her family. Family always comes 1st in some people's book and you have to respect that... But if it wasnt meant to be, then it wasnt meant to be.

August: But I know it is Ma!! I know just from the connection that we have, that she was made for me! It's just that nigga Justin gettin' in her head!!

Momma: August sweetie calm down. If you like her that much, then why didn't you claim her already? This practically your fault anyway.

August: How?!?

Momma: You know how you and Justin are close. And we all know how many hoes you used to have and bringing them to the studio all the time and telling Justin about em'! If you woulda kept yo dick in your pants!, Justin would've never worried about telling Aisha that! Say Aisha was your daughter and you were Justin. One of your close boys try to get with her an you know how he is wouldn't you tell her about his ways???

August: (rubs hand across his hair) Dammit I said give me some advice, not make me feel bad... but you right...

Momma: You came to me remember?

August: Yea yea... but he doesn't know that I'm not like that anymore!

Momma: Then you have to prove that to him August!

August: (stands up) You right momma. Thank you (bends down and kisses her on cheek)

Momma: No problem(walks him to the door) Now get!! Its time for my me time!

August: (laughs) Ok ma!! Love you!

Momma: Love you too baby!

~I walked back to the car thinking about what my momma said. She was right about the family 1st and Justin thing. I guess I can go over tomorrow and tell them I was sorry. I really started to miss my baby~
