Chapter 7: Unforgivable Curses and Detention

Soon enough, it was Thursday- our first lesson with Professor Moody, and it's the truth to say that the Weasley twins made the lesson that they had on Monday be very exciting. We didn't know if that was the truth or not. Most likely, from what I've heard from other students, was that that was the truth. So, of course, I was very excited and curious.

"You excited for your first lesson with Moody, love?" George asked me that morning in the common room.

"Of course I am. So what did you do?"

"We went of Unforgivable Curses." He said, kissing my cheek.

I smiled. "Oh, like the Imperious, Cruciotus, and Killing curses?" I asked, curiously, shivering as I remembered what happened in my first year.

In my first year, I was kidnapped, and tortured by Professor Qurriel, who actually had Voldemort on the back of his head. He was hidden by his turban. Anyway, Qurriel had used the cruciotus curse on me. The cruciotus curse gives the receiver immense pain. Let's just say... it really hurts.

In my second year, Ginny Weasley and I were possessed by Tom Marvolo Riddle, or Voldemort. It was sort of like the imperious curse, but unlike that, we had forgotten everything we had done to help Tom petrify the muggle born students.

And when I was a one year old... well, you already know that story. Hopefully.

I sat with Hermione in D.A.D.A today. Moody came in, hobbling, like usual. Nothing different.

"Now today, we are learning about unforgiveable curses." He grunted at the class.

It was good that we had this class with just Gryffindor; I wouldn't be able to handle the Slytherins teasing over my dead parents or something like that. I don't think that Harry would be able to either.

"Who can name on?" he grunted, again.

Ron raised his hand. "You'd be Arthur Weasley's son?"

Ron nodded.

"Good, good... your father got me out of a tight spot few days ago... he would know about that curse; gave the ministry a tough time a few years ago..."

Moody got a spider of his desk.

"Energio!" he exclaimed.

"This," he began in his gruff voice. "Is the imperious curse...."

There was a pregnant pause through the room- surely he wasn't going to perform it, right?

I was incorrect.

"IMPERIO!" Moody exclaimed, and we watched as the spider did what he wanted.
