In, 1911 Walt and his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri. There, Disney attended the Benton Grammar School, where he met fellow-student Walter Pfeiffer, who came from a family of theatre fans and introduced Disney to the world of and motion pictures.

In school Walt liked draw. The teacher would catch him drawing when he was supposed to be doing classwork , but when she did she would make him put his hands inside the desk, and shut it on his hands. The abuse in school did not stop Walt from drawing, he would keep on going.'
