Walter Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, IL. His father owned a farm. Walt's father made him do all the chores, and clean up after the farm animals. Walt made friends with the animals. He named one of the pigs Pinky, and a horse Lance.
On Walt's 8th birthday his aunt Margaret got him a drawing pad. Walt always drew on the barnyard, and his father's walls. His father would yell at him and beat him for it. Walt started drawing in the pad.
He made some good drawings. He started off with his horse, and his pigs. Nobody really supported his work. Walt's brother Roy was the only one to push and support him to draw.
