This is perfect! I shouted in my mind. Today there was gonna be a costume ball at the Trancy manor and a certain blond girl and her sister will be there. Ciel was allowing us servents to attend also. Except we had to dress up as servants. Exciting. I didn't even care this will be the perfect opportunity to get the girl on my side. Sebastian had us lined up in front of the stairs going over how to behave and that kind of stuff. I wasn't even listening I was just going over what I would say to her to try and convince her. My thoughts were broken when Sebastian said 'dismissed' and everyone started walking around.
"Natalia may I talk to you." Sebastian said
I nodded and walked over to him.
"Natalia as a Phantomhive maid you have high expectations and you expected to follow through with them. This is your chance to people that only the best can be Phantomhive servants." he brought his face closer to mine "Make sure to behave yourself." I stared into his red eyes and I got chills.
"You are dismissed Miss Evergreen." He said as he stepped back.
"Yes Sebastian, I won't let you down." I said with a nod as I walked back to my room.
I stepped in my room and sighed as I looked out the window and looked at the sky. "This might take awhile but don't worry, he'll pay." I said as I blew a kiss to the sky. I say a figure standing behind a rose bush. I looked down and say Finny looking at me with his head tilted to the side. I smiled at him and closed the curtain. I rolled my eyes and sat on my bed. Great he say me. Hopefully he didn't hear anything. I laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. A knock at my door caused me to jump. I opened my door and say Mey-Rin standing there.
"Sorry ti disturb you but we need some help in the kitchen." she said in an almost frantic voice. I nodded and ran to the kitchen with her. I walked in the kitchen and felt the coldness again but that wasn't what disturbed me. What disturbed me was the giant flame on the stove. The chef Baldroy was trying to blow it out as Mey-Rin scooped water with her hands from the sink onto the water. But the water kept falling through. I ran outside to get Finny. He's a gardener he must have a bucket of water or something.
"Finny!" I yelled running toward the greenhouse. "Finny!" I yelled again.
He ran out the greenhouse and came over to me. "What's wrong Miss!"
"The kitchen!" I yelled pointing to the manor "We need water!"
He ran back inside and ran out effortlessly carrying 4 buckets full of water. We ran past me and into the kitchen. I just stared in amazement. How can someone carry that much water to easy. What's with this kid. I ran back inside and luckily the fire was gone. I sighed in relief as I sat on a chair by the door. I watched as they tried hiding the evidence of a fire. I felt the cold air again but this time it felt like a breeze. I came from the right corner by a large shelf. I stood up and looked closeley at the wall. There were a bunch of bullet holes.
"Baldroy." I said turning to him as he put the pot away while smoking a cigarette.
"Ya."
"Why are all these bullet holes here?"
"Well some crazy people from some circus tried braking in and we had to protect the manor." he said as he proubly crossed his arms over his chest. My heart sunk, my breathing slowed, and I felt the coldness again only this time it was stringer. I was all over my body and now I felt in on my right cheek. I touched it and remembered that was where Dagger kissed me when he returned the favor. I felt my heart beat faster and I was getting light headed.
"Miss!"
"Natalia!" Finny and Mey-Rin yelled as they ran over to me. I fell into their arms as they sat me back down in the chair. I looked down at the floor as I felt my eyes sting. No I cant cry! Not here not ever! I took slow breathes and closed my eyes.
"Miss are you ok?" I heard Finny say.
I looked up at him and for a split second I say Daggers face. I looked back down and closed my eyes. "Yes, i'm fine, I just need to sit here for a bit. Sorry for making you worry."
"No worries at all, just sit and rest, i'll get you some tea." Mey-Rin said as she left. Finny stood looking at me for awhile. I looked back up and him and luckily just saw Finny. "Finny, i'm ok you don't have to worry." I said with a smile.
He gave me a sad nod and went back outside.
"Here you are Nat-" she was cut off by her tripping over a flat floor and spilling the tea all over the floor.
"Oh i'm so sorry Natalia." she said picking up the pieces of glass.
"Don't worry about it i'm fine now." I said as I helped her pick up the pieces. I picked them all up and threw them away.
"Thank you." she said as I walked back to my room.
I nodded and kept walking. I got to my room and quickly closed the door. I put my back against the door and slid down to the floor. I closed my eyes as I felt my eyes sting. It was you wasn't it Dagger. You were that coldness I felt when I first walked in. You were that breeze. You were letting me know you were there. You died in that kitchen. You were shot. The thought made my stomach churn. And that man was proud about killing you. Now i'm mad.
