Hannah hart traveled down platform 9 3/4, her hands stuffed into her plain black trousers and her backpack thrown over her shoulder.
She looked around herself at the other first years, all looking scared and overwhelmed as they bided their parents goodbye. Some gave Hannah weird looks, but she was used to it by now. She learnt living on the streets to stare straight back, keeping eye contact making them flinch away.
The ink traveling down her arms, spiralling and swirling around the skin usually caught people's attention. But she wore her tattoos with pride.
She felt the rustling in her backpack, patting it lightly and whispering to her husky puppy Ollie in her Japanese tongue. He stayed still, licking her hand in resignation as She boarded the train, finding a compartment with no one in it and sliding the door open with ease. the train started moving swiftly towards Hogwarts as she wondered what her new home would be like, the peaceful views of lakes and forests travelling past making her close her eyes to think for a bit, with her jumper wrapped around her shoulders for warmth.
"Do you think she's homeless?" She heard a female voice say, the click of the closing door making Hannah's ear twitch as a girl ran her hand up her arm before tucking Hannah's fridge behind her ear. "She's looks very cold and pale?"
She heard another girl laugh, the sound making her flinch out of loudness. She realised the girls where scanning her over, and she abruptly sat up and pretended to rub her eyes like she had been sleeping. Her jumper fell off her shoulders, revealing the black ink on her arms making the girls gasp in surprise.
She blinked at them before narrowing her eyes, "May I help you?" She asked, now realising the red head and blonde girl where dressed in Hogwarts attire.
The red head went to speak, before shortly being cut off by a bark. Hannah rolled her eyes, "Suwaru made, hanashimasu!" She ordered in Japanese, knowing it was the only language the dog listened to.
He jumped up cuddling into Hannah's side and wagging his tail happily at her, she grinned, running a hand over his Snow White fur and feeling instantly comforted.
"Your not allowed dogs" the blonde said bluntly, making Hannah role her eyes and laugh.
"Yeah, like there going to keep Ollie out of Hogwarts." She smirked evilly, "They can try"
"Okay, well I'm Mamrie" the red head grinned at Hannah.
"And this is Grace" Grace waved awkwardly, her eyes still transfixed on the ink travelling up the girl's arms.
"Can I help you?" Hannah asked defensively, making Grace frown and shake her head.
"And you are..." Hannah sat up, pulling a arm around Ollie to keep the girls at bay knowing that he'd bite them if they came near her.
"Hannah" she nodded, pulling out her phone and texting Jenna and Sarah that she was on the train.
"Who you texting?" Mamrie asked, glancing over her shoulder. Hannah shrugged, "just my friends"
Mamrie nodded, seeing the girls clenched body language and moving away.
"So are your parents coming up at half term?" Mamrie asked grace, making her giggle and nod. "There gonna see if they can bring up goose"
"How about you Hannah? Parents coming up?" Hannah shook her head. "Ain't got any" she smiled at the girls sympathetic looks, knowing she hated her life much deeper than not having parents.
She was cold blooded, in the literal sense.
The ink bonded onto her skin before she awoke when she was fist pulled from her grave by Jenna and Sarah in 1945, the one on her right arm was a wolf howling as it portrayed the love and respect for the wolfs in her coven. The one on her left was given to her before she came conscious, it was a clan symbol, proving her loyalty to the people that saved her from decades of unspeakable agony in her coffin. The years she spent trying to claw her way through dirt and worms without a drop of blood to help her through the process. Just After being bitten by a rough vampire named Ingrid. But Sarah and Jenna where glad to have her, for she was magic.
Not in the literal sense, she had the power of a normal witch or wizard topped with power over wolves that no one else understood.
She had a tattoo above her right breast as well, a pause and play button symbolising her need to always keep going, but also to take time to pause and reflect on everything good around her.
