Dear mama,

Today I woke up early, and rushed to the dining hall. Pacifica was not sitting at the satin seat at the foot of the table, as usual. Instead she was gone. I asked Tanya if she knew where Pacifica went, "to the tavern, skunk" Tanya scoffed, I ignored her, and rushed to the tavern. For I am only 15 years old, but since I am daughter of Sir Baritone, they let me in as soon as I reached the tavern doors.

I saw Pacifica sitting alone at the bar seats. She was talking to a man, dressed in a letter tunic, and leather pants. She was talking about being broke, and ditching our family. Tears came to my eyes as I heard this. I did not want to interfere, so I dashed out. The worst thing was, I had nobody to talk to accept for you mama. I ran all the way to the stables, and spoke to Marty, he pretended like he never knew me, which made me cry even more. Marty turned on his heels and walked away. That's what killed me, I fell to the ground, in a heap of tears. I hoped that Marty would come back, and cradle me in his arms, but it didn't happen.

The only thing that kept me from staying on the stables, Was Speckles, I rushed to Wing B, but he was gone. I felt like crying, but I was so I was so overwhelmed, I couldn't even breath, I had lost everything, because of Pacifica.

I'm sorry mama, but I don't think I can go on writing this letter, it is too hard to handle. I will write to you tomorrow.
