Redeeming Myself

Regina P.O.V.

I stepped into the Storybrooke graveyard and saw Rosemarie sitting right in front of Grahams gravestone. My heart ached for her. I had done this to her, I had taken away her true love. Before I had never felt bad about it, but now I was a changed person and I wanted to fix this for her. I didn't want her to be miserable anymore because of me.

Yesterday David had taken her to Granny's, I saw her there and I remembered what I had done. So, I made the plan to right away bring back Graham for her.

I slowly made my way over to her, my steps making barely any noise on the grass, but she still heard me several feet before I got to her. She turned her head towards me. When she saw me, her eyes widened and she jumped up. The wolf beside her jumped up as well and growled at me.

"What do you want?" she questioned me, her voice not concealing any of the anger she was feeling. I raised my hands slightly, to try and show I meant no harm.

"I'm not here to hurt you."

"Sure you aren't. Although you couldn't really hurt me anymore than you already have."

My heart ached at that. I knew what I had to do.

"I'm sorry I took Graham away from you. It wasn't right of me to do that. I promise you I'll make things right," I told her.

Her eyes widened and I waved my hand over her face, causing her eyes to close and she passed out. Falling onto the grass. I looked her over once, before taking a few steps toward her. I knelled down beside her, then I reached into her chest and pulled out her heart. Carefully I put my other hand on her heart and slowly twisted it into two pieces. There was a low snipping sound as the heart split right down the middle.

I took one half and placed it back into her chest, then I waved my hand over the ground next to her and the dead body of Graham appeared on the ground. I took the other half of the heart and put it into his chest.

Several seconds passed without anything happen, but suddenly Grahams chest rose up and his eyes opened as he gasped. He took a few more deep breaths while looking around at his surroundings before his eyes landed on me. They widened and he sat up quickly, his face scrunching up in pain. He must have been stiff from being dead so long, which seemed weird, but I was just glad that my magic could bring his body back perfectly.

"What is happening?" he questioned, sounding angry and scared at the same time. He twisted and stretched his muscles a little bit and then tried to get up again. This time he managed but as he started to get up he noticed Rosemarie laying on the ground. "Rose?"

He moved over to her and placed both of his hands on either of her shoulders.

"Hello Graham," I started, he looked over at me.

"What did you do?"

"Calm down, I just knocked her out so I could split her heart and bring you back."

"You did what?"

"I brought you back to life, by splitting her heart. You should have seen what she was like without you. She spent nearly everyday right by your grave since the curse was broken."

"You brought me back to life, for Rose?" He asked, sounded surprised, but I couldn't really blame him. He didn't know that I had changed. "Why?"

"Because I know I was the reason you died and why Rosemarie suffered everyday. Anyway," I responded quickly looking away from him, becoming uncomfortable, "You should get her out of here, it's getting cold and it's only going to get colder as night comes."

I was about to disappear and go back to my office when Grahams voice stopped me.

"Wait," he said and I turned my head back to look at him. "Thank you."

"What?" I questioned, astonished. I was the evil queen before he died, he had no idea I had changed. Why was he thanking me?

"I said thank you. It's hard to say, I can see you've changed. Your not a complete bitch anymore."

I nodded, "Um, then your welcome."

Graham looked back at Rosemarie and began to pick her up. I waved my hand and disappeared in a cloud of smoke, reappearing in my office. I'm glad that was over, even though I knew I needed to do it. Not only that, but it took a lot of concentration to bring Grahams body back, restored like it had been three years ago.
