Your cat was nowhere to be found.
Usually anyone would get worried if their pet was missing. However, Princess was the type of cat that managed to escape no matter how much you tried to barricade her inside. You stopped trying after a while and simply let her roam freely.
After all, you knew she would always come back. She only left the house for one reason: to visit Tsukishima Kei.
You absolutely despised him. For some strange reason though, Princess loved him. Maybe more than she loved you, which was totally not fair.
On the subject of the guy you hated, he was currently knocking on your door and calling out in that obnoxious voice. You stood there wondering if you should open it. You didn't want to see him, but you wanted your cat back.
"[Name]-san, if you don't come out, I'm going to take her with me. And you'll never see her again."
Quickly you opened the door. There he stood in all his 6ft and some glory. In his arms was that giant fluff ball you called Princess. She purred loudly as his long fingers stroked along her back.
"Isn't this the fifth time this week?" You asked him, slightly irritated. He always brought her back to you. You felt kind of bad for wasting his time. (not really)
"I would apologize but you don't deserve it," you continued on as you took the cat out of his arms. Princess growled and leaped out your arms and into the house. Your irritation grew when he snickered at that.
Tsukishima looked down at you and sighed. "I deserve some kind of repayment for always bringing her back. I could have kidnapped her or not taken care of her. I even feed her for you, you selfish brat."
"Me not kicking you in the balls at the moment is a thanks. Be grateful." You got ready to close the door, but his own hand stopped you. "Wait."
You glared at him, "what?" Tsukishima smirked his annoying smirk at you. You already knew you wouldn't like what he was about to say. "Go grab some dinner with me tomorrow," he demanded.
At first, you had no reaction. You needed to process what he had just said. Then your eyes widened when it sunk in. "Is that a date?" You asked, laughing a little.
He scoffed and glared. "Don't flatter yourself too much. You're paying. I just want some free food."
"How can you ask someone out and make them pay? That makes no sense! Anyway, why should I?"
"As a repayment for taking care of Princess." He secretly snickered again at the mention of Princess. He always wondered why you named her that, it did not suit her at all. "Spawn from Hell" seemed more suitable.
You were about to retort back when he suddenly seemed different. His cocky self disappeared and he leaned on his side.
"Besides, it might help you realize you're actually in love with me." Nope, his bastard self was still there.
Your cheeks burned at his comment but you quickly recovered. "Don't flatter yourself," you laughed and shut the door quickly.
Then you peaked out again. "I'll think about it." The door closed.
You couldn't see it, but his ears and cheeks were turning red. He had not expected that.
