Love Poem #136

you are not my sister

for we share no blood, (boiling blood like I have)

which my heart singes as it sends all through my veins.

my heart, which is your prisoner-locked in your breast,

(and therefore has it swollen to double-size)

oh, how could I love anyone but you?

from first to last I'd fall, all others being equal,

equally the worst, for they are not you.
